What's this link to Viper Phase 1 with 2 CDs & DVD set?
On the same site that promotes the upcoming Ketsui/Mushi DVD, what's the link mention about an Seibu Kaihatsu SP1 Viper Phase 1 with a DVD & two CDs set?
Is this regarding the "old" or the "new" version of Viper Phase 1 SP1 cart Superplay?
Could a fellow shmupper care to translate the Japanese into English for all our English reading fellow shmuppers to enjoy the latest info on both the Ketsui/Mushi & Viper Phase 1 Superplay DVD sets?

Oh. I thought the Imakichi one was the current Gamest / Arcadia record until I took a look at Gemant ZBL-FUKUDA's site.
Edit: The videos will be interesting to see. As Valgar said, it'd be interesting how the players will use their technique to beat the true bosses.

I reckon that the Ketsui superplay will be an ALL with at least one life lost somewhere in the Special Loop, maybe at DOOM. There was a bunch of Ketsui replays at hameko a while back - a couple of then being true last boss clips - and from what I've seen, some players have learned to utilise the wide gaps in DOOM's final attack pattern, although a few of the clips had bomb usage to assist in the trickier spots.
There's only been one video clip that I know of where DOOM's final pattern was handled almost perfectly without bombs, and that one cuts off towards the end of the battle.

Yes I don't know if DOOM's last pattern is actually possible without "luck" (if you believe in that...maybe random coincidental ship and bullet placement.), the rest is. That video cuts out because he is about to die for sure...Icarus wrote:I reckon that the Ketsui superplay will be an ALL with at least one life lost somewhere in the Special Loop, maybe at DOOM. Anyway bombs arn't worth very many points so it isn't so bad to use them.

DVD
Sounds Good. I've got the Imakichi one, but a new Ketsui replay would be fine (maybe one day I'll get to play the game
).
A new Mush replay is most welcome. I've gotta figure that a 1billion+ Mush Maniac Mode replay will refresh our playing style. I was always curious why they bothered to put a LE Reko figure in but no superplay DVD
I was beginning to think that they don't want to give away their trade secrets!

INH are the same group that produced The Madness Battle Garegga, The Onslaught Raiden Fighters and The Starting Over Hyper Streetfighter DVDs, so hopefully we can expect the same kind of quality as their previous releases (and it's nice to see them doing more shmups DVDs, the past few that have done shmup DVDs seem to stop at three releases...)Dylan1CC wrote:Yeah sorry, I was confused as to whether or not INH was producing the DVD or if that was just a general site/retailer.
I can't guess what kind of extras that might be packed in (since Garegga and RF had OST discs and booklets as well, and both Ketsui and Mushi have OSTs already out) but anything they do decide to pack with these DVDs will be very welcome.
Hopefully the release date will be announced soon, and Cocoebiz will get the Ketsui, Mushi and Viper Phase One DVDs in for preorder. Personally though, I would like to see Brave Blade or Great Mahou DVDs somewhere down the line, but that's just me ^_^

Hell, MCS didn't even make it to 3 DVDs.. they seemed to have totally disappeared after just 2 replay sets (the Ikaruga Appreciate DVD and the Shikigami No Shiro 2 Appreciate DVD).Icarus wrote: INH are the same group that produced The Madness Battle Garegga, The Onslaught Raiden Fighters and The Starting Over Hyper Streetfighter DVDs, so hopefully we can expect the same kind of quality as their previous releases (and it's nice to see them doing more shmups DVDs, the past few that have done shmup DVDs seem to stop at three releases...)
INH's DVD's are pretty good, but MCS's are better. The video quality in MCS's was a little cleaner in Yoko, and you had the option of watching all of the replays in Tate. I really wish that INH would start to include Tate versions of the replays on the discs as well. However, I would like to see INH do even more with the subtitle tracks (like on the Garegga DVD, you can bring up a subtitle track that tells you when and why the players are commiting suicide and how they're activating the different option formats) as well as record a commentary track by the players.
The Mushihime-sama DVD will no doubt include a no-pan Reko zygote figure.Icarus wrote: I can't guess what kind of extras that might be packed in (since Garegga and RF had OST discs and booklets as well, and both Ketsui and Mushi have OSTs already out) but anything they do decide to pack with these DVDs will be very welcome.
In all seriousness, considering that the Battle Garegga set simply came with a re-recording of the Saturn DA tracks (although a bit cleaner in sound quality) along with one special remix, it's plausable that both the Mushi DVD and the Ketsui DVD will have similiar inclusions.

arika dvd replay was a ternatocc replay (454.000.000pts). Probably this new DVD is old ternatocc replay on real Ketsui PCB from Daytona III.chtimi wrote:supposedly the no-death PCB was only for practice purposes and also had sort of save states.Dylan1CC wrote:So anyone know if this is the same replay with the no-death PCB which caused all the trouble?
