I've actually been pretty happy this week, not very much self loathing. Probably because I've been busy. I've either been mailing records or working or sleeping. All last week I would drink nyquil, wake up, drink nyquil, wake up, eat oreos, drink nyquil, wake up etc. Not because I was sick, but I didn't want to see people or acknowledge their existence.

My Dad is sad because I've been ignoring him (he used to blow up and blame things on me for the majority of my childhood/teenage years ) so everything he says I usually ignore or taunt him. But, now he wants to spendtime with me to mend our relationship. I'm fine with this. He wants to go to the atlantis and play video games with me. I told him the atlantis sucks, can we go to a titty bar instead? he said no. lOL

Story time: so when I first started buying record when I was 17 or 18 I bought a Crash and Britany 7" at a used record store in Reno. I really liked the record and I still do! So i started digging around the internet for other released by the band and found a comp called In Memory of Jason and it had a bunchhhh of bands that I really liked. THere was one band called Reach out that had a song called SHIT ME A MOUNTAIN OF LIES which was killer. I thought the vocals sucked, but the guitars were awesome: http://youtu.be/Z2Sj77nOk-U (turns out later that this was just a song from rehersal and their SPLIT WITH HONEYWELL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RECORD[my handle is from a Honeywell song])fast forward a couple of months later I'm digging around for more music and find another band the same guitarists are in called CARS GET CRUSHED and they have a couple of records so i dig around and find them for cheap. They released another 7" taht I never listen to, but is ok. THEN they released a final CD in 1999 called Evolution to Thrust: http://youtu.be/AEmRWe5wb9Y . It's sort of a pink floyd/sun ra esque album WHICH BLew MY fuckiN MIND. It ahas a great flow beggining to end. After the band broke up the guitarist finally parted ways: Mike went on to do ELECTRIC BIRDS: http://youtu.be/yQ6c4Ldd3tY an awesome electronic project and Mikel went on to do Winfred E. EYE a americana or folky -esque band with the singer from EVERGREEN (a band that was on the In Memory of Jason comp)

First off, Stone IPA isn't as good as Ruination; if you can get their ruination, that's the way to go. I agree that IPAs in general are an all around go-to beer. High enough alcohol (generally 6-7, though there's no rule) to get the job done, and enough bite to let you know you aren't drinking another man's piss. Pale Ales are for faggots, drink IPAs.

Drink a champagne bottle of 10% saison (wtf!), plus a glass of my Weird Speckled Hen (slightly soured OSH that tastes like beer aged in chardonnay barrels--actually pretty tasty!), then watched Drag Me To Hell. Great evening!
