How difficult is it to mod a slim PS2?

I have never modded a system before and I'm not good at soldering (never really done it), so you can probably see that I'm not to keen on opening up my PS2 and monkeying around inside. But I know people who can solder, so is it that difficult? I don't want to mess with disc swapping or anything like that, so a mod chip is my only choice I guess.

If it's hard, can anyone tell me an online source that mods PS2s?

I seriously wouldn't bother trying to mod a PS2 if you're not experienced at fine soldering.

I'm afraid I don't know of anywhere that I can recommend to you instead though.
BTW, if you're going to fit a modchip to a slim PS2, then I'd also suggest that you fit a "laser protection fix" as well.
