I can see G.Rev porting Border Down to 360 and PS3 if UD HD sells well.

I'm being told that someone on 2ch mentioned Maruyama mentioning "if Under Defeat HD sells well, a Border Down HD project will begin" during one of the G.rev Ustream broadcasts.

Grev's streams aren't recorded though.

Alright, finally pulled the trigger on my preorder. Went with NCSX as usual.

I've somehow managed to have never played this game even once. I've heard plenty of good things so I'm confident I'll like it. In the past I may have avoided it due to its apparent simplicity, but after playing so many complex scoring oriented games I think I'm ready to enjoy something more straightforward. I figure if I somehow end up hating it I can count on this game in particular to hold its value as well.

Went with the LE. Even if the box is ugly I'm VERY interested in the arrange soundtrack. Is there any word on if we'll have access to an arrange soundtrack in-game as well? Despite not having played the game I have dug on a couple songs from it pretty hard. The DVD should be interesting as well, hoping it will play on my PS3.

It will only play if it matches the region that this game is coming from (Japan is region 2, China is region 6). I don't know which region the DVD will be and whether they will print different region DVDs for locales where this game is sold. I'd guess it will be region 2 if it is region locked. I suppose it is not inconceivable that they could make it region free, but I wouldn't bet on it unless that is the usual policy with these superplay DVD's.

You could easily rip it, make it region free and burn it. If you own it, I would assume that it's totally legit.

INH's DVDs are usually NTSC region 0.

On a side note....do you think the title of this game had to do with a poor understanding of English, or what? I mean...Under D' Feet? I mean, really. I feel like Led Zeppelin's Trampled Under Foot would be good BGM, for the first stage of this game.

I've been under defeat for a couple of weeks now, as I can't seem to be able to beat this beast even though I know I can do it.

I replayed this last night on my Dreamcast.

It's way more enjoyable than I remember. I think that makes this the only G.Rev game I actually like.

Yhaa if it wasn't for me breaking out the Dreamcast and testing it out, I wouldn't have made the decision to go ahead and purchase this for the PS3.

I think the problem I had originally is that I played it right after Zero Gunner 2, so it just felt like a less original version of that. It's pretty fun on its own merits, though.

I'm going to play the Dreamcast version tonight and see if I can renew my interest in it. Kind of "meh" on it as it stands.

If I like it enough I'll pre-order the 360 or PS3 LE. To be honest, I can't remember the aspect ratio of the game. Is it 4:3 or 3:4 (tate)? If it is a 3:4 game I would definitely go 360 as I have that hooked up to my widescreen as well as my CRT in tate. Or is the remake only widescreen?

The original game is 3:4 (UD HD includes the original game). The New Order mode included with this HD reissue is 16:9.

thanks for the info. That means I'll go for the 360 version if I change my mind and decide to get it. Gives me the option to play widescreen mode on my LCD and tate on my CRT. Awesome.

I think it would be extremely silly of them to remix the soundtrack and then not include it in the game.

What I'd like to know is whether or not you can select it for the original mode.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time a game came with an arrange soundtrack cd that couldn't be used in the game itself.
