cig how many extra bosses do you get with that score? 2 extra and 3 bosses on stage 5?

I've forgotten exactly how it went, but I fought all three stage 5 bosses, some ninjas, bashinet, black heart, gob robo, etc. Something like that. Basically I fought every extra boss I could as far as I know.

I've never seen or heard of a Batrider video anywhere. That MAME replay is good, if a little uneventful. It's basically what you'd expect for an Advanced clear without extra bosses, 9 or ten million points.

What I want to see is a replay in the 20 million point range.

Yeah, isn't the record pushing almost near 30mill? You've gotta wonder where all that even comes from. I'd bet there's some serious boss milking going on for a run that high and of course 10k medals throughout. Also, you've got to know what needs to be killed with the aura or with a bomb to get more points from than just shooting it.

proboably.. from what cig tells me here is that theres a shitload more points to get just from choosing characters more wiseley.

my 4.3score is just medalchaining up till halfway thru stage 5 and also no extra bosses (envy alone at stage 5), i suspect the airport boss can be milked much better than i am too since it goes crazy with dropping medals once the 2 lazers have been destroyed.. goddamn.. i need my cab back so i can start playing this again.. it truly is THE BEST SHOOTER EVER!

That mame replay did clear up a couple real problem areas on level seven. I'll point some out for those who don't want to download it.

On that part that looks like some kind of laboratory with all the green glass tubes that explode and send out suicide bullets when you shoot them, just stay way off to either the right or left side while firing away. Since a lot of them are off screen you won't end up shooting all the tubes at once and making a big mess that's almost impossible to dodge.

On the part leading up to the last boss right before you face him, there or two columns of turrets that will send out some massive fire power. Simply point blank the turrets while blowing them up with your options or spread shot. They will not fire at all if you do this correctly.

This is a Strawman specific technique since his options lock on and destroy the turrets as you pass. I'd be interested to know of techniques for other characters though.

I've gotten it to work with Maria before simply because she fires such a wide spread it can reach the turrets. Tag-T, Bornamm and some others come to mind as ships that should do it pretty easily. Garegga ships might require certain option formations?

Envy gives EVERYBODY trouble. (laugh) if you are playingforsurvivalit's strongly recommended to try and NOT face Envy.

I love playing the boss rush mode. I wish there was an option to not face envy. I'm yet to make it past stage 7.
