I tried to do a search but I couldn't come up with anything.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with putting a NEC XM29 monitor inside their candy cab... especially a Blast City.
I have a Blast City that needs a monitor and a XM29 that just lays around. So, if you have done this, was it hard and did you have to do any modification to make it fit?
What about the bezel; did that fit okay?

Can't you just try the bezel on the NEC XM29?

No it is not the correct size.
So nobody has tried to do this before?

Re: NEC XM29 inside candy cab
I don't think anyone will admit to tearing up a xm29
... But I'm sure it's happened.
... But I take it you want to transplant pcbs guts and all into a cabinet... I'd be surprised if you'd manage to fit it in [place]?
However if you just need the tube - A68KZN696X - it seems to be a fit:

And is quoted as compatible with at least a (replacement?) blast city chassis:

Perhaps of use:

^ some talk here about finding grundig tv's that seem to have the same tube inside [but different wiring?] ...

I have an XM29 also...I highly doubt the depth would work, especially on a blast city. The tube would be too long. You would have to cut out the back of the cab and have the neck card and everything hanging out the back of the cab.
