I just ordered a sync strike to play with myself, but I got this rather unfriendly error after checkout

Money has gone from my Paypal though so I guess it's ok.
Come again Sir?!BuckoA51 wrote:Did someone on this thread figure out the whole 15khz via the RGBHV inputs on the Edge and didn't tell me? I get asked about that from time to time.
Hey, just fixed that.BuckoA51 wrote: I just ordered a sync strike to play with myself, but I got this rather unfriendly error after checkout

You'll have to fit an appropriate connector off the 5v & GND blocks. Either that or chop the connector off the PSU and hardwire.BuckoA51 wrote:I just got mine today, I'm sure this is a VERY dumb question but, how on earth do I attach the PSU? I cannot find a connector that is suitable anywhere on the Sync Strike, the only one I see which says 5V and GND is a totally different connector to the one on the PSU I've been sent.
Yes I only tried my SNES.bencao74 wrote:could you give some more info about your input source. You tried only SNES -> Sync Strike -> faroudja NR series -> xx?
Have you tried the Sync Strike with the SNES on another processor that works then?ceramiclion wrote:Yes I only tried my SNES.bencao74 wrote:could you give some more info about your input source. You tried only SNES -> Sync Strike -> faroudja NR series -> xx?
It goes like this
SNES on SCART>Sync Strike>Faroudja NR> VGA to HDMI convertor> LG HDTV. I have tested and know for a fact that the sync strike is good is that Faroudja NR series that doesnt like the connection.
No unfortunately I dont have another processor but the sound works and the the sync strike lights up.fagin wrote:

That don't mean shit I'm afraid. The Sync Strike does not work with certain connections on a DVDO EDGE for instance, regardless of the lights and audio..... it's a sync issue.ceramiclion wrote:the sound works and the the sync strike lights up.fagin wrote:

it may look like composite but that's impossible to actually be composite.ceramiclion wrote:I have reason to believe that it is actually giving composite video instead of RGB (the reds look awful and the video is very blurry)
Jeez, it's like I was trying to buy the only wrong one on eBay or somethingFudoh wrote:The 103 is about the oldest interface you could have found. 17+ years ?
Not sure if it already has the full sync processing the other units have. The input is not really a problem. It's just different plug.
