I used to let my cat go in and out as he pleased, through his own open door (plenty of mice came in too, would not recommend). But he would frequently choose to attack the window screen instead when he wanted in. I had to cover the window with a piece of cardboard to discourage this.

I hate the way people in movies handle books and magazines.

I expect little kids to bend and twist the fuck out of every page when flipping through a book, but adults acting in movies seem to have no concern for the condition of their periodicals. Immediately after buying a magazine they fold it in two and shove it under their armpit, or (worse) when they grab a comic book they fold the cover all the way back, practically ripping it from its staples.

The worst offender I can think of is Back to the Future 2. For being the key to shaping the future of the world, the Biffs and Marty treat that sports almanac like its made out of a superball or adamantium or something. They throw it back and forth, roll it up and shove it into their back pocket, and practically wipe their ass with the most important book in the cosmos.

Television "news anchors" annoy the hell outta me. I'm of the opposite opinion, I think we should refer to those people as anything but "news" related titles or as real journalists. When we get talentless, dimwits, and overall c**** such as megan kelly, soledad obrien, and erin burnett getting their own shows and segments, the network ceases to be a provider of actual news. At best, I refer to them as "news readers": Someone else does the real journalism (probably some ugly, unsightly person) and they go ahead and read it to their audience. Journalism in the U.S. is the last bastion for the mentally lazy and for the do-nothing divas
