I bet it's advertising Wipeout 2048, it ties into the whole "beginning of AG racing" thing pretty well.

Don't think it's an effect, I've seen liquid nitrogen used to make stuff levitate this way before. I'm guessing that the magnetic pad is moving underneath the track, but I suppose there could be some CG trickery in there too.

It'll be on the Playstation Vita handheld this time around. Cool twisting Wipeout track layout in the YT video...precursor to the original WO game indeed. It'd be cool to buy a real minature WO anti-grav track set to play/own for kicks. Notice the iconic "Xs" & "Os" placed on the surface of the track itself?

Yeah, looking at in in 720p full screen, it's pretty obvious when they first put the ship down on the side profile. Would be cool if they could actually recreate the track using the technology, I'm sure it's possible.

yeah it does seem fake for a few reasons:

* as said above the smoke is a bit dodgy - especially on the first side on view of the pod

* the completely OTT shakey cam in some parts, even when there would be no shakiness just scream 'make this look real'

* the engrish in the text at start just seems wrong

however yeah it does seem like it could be done after seeing that video of the magnet hovering around in a circle (yeah I really know my physics terms :p (!)) - maybe it is half real and they just accentuated it in After Effects - maybe not though cos in that video of the circular thing hovering around the dry ice was way more impressive looking...
