Post Here If You Have A Game-related Site

Post by icycalm »

... even if it's a tiny blog

Tell us a few words about it and link the pages which are your favorite.

My favorite page on my site is this. I must have read that article at least a dozen times (I did not write that particular article).

It's my message boards. General stuff but most of the talk is about gaming in general. That, or it's in General Discussion.

I've plugged my site quite a bit here, but I guess a bit more won't hurt.

I don't do articles really, as I'm an awful writer. I think the handful of translations I've done are pretty unique though. My favorite, is The Man Who Made ESPRade and Guwange, an interview with Junya Inoue found in a rather trendy gaming 'magazine' called Continue, some 3 years ago... after he left the gaming industry. Covers a lot of info on Toaplan and Cave.

I run SegaFans as you could probably tell from my sig.

Also am currently running Game Tribute which I hope to expand - basically it will end up being a collection of smaller shrines and tribute sites to various games. The only one that's complete is Rodrigo's Propeller Arena fan site. I've got all the Fatalities from MK Deception on my Mortal Kombat Fansite and I'm nearly done with the Jackal Shrine (which is not linked from the gametribute main site yet) - there are still a couple of missing pages that I need to add, but at least I've got a cool 404 page there. Also need to update a few things here and there to be in the the NES font style rather than regular text.

If anyone wants their tribute site hosted there for free and without annoying ad banners or popups send me a PM. (shameless plug)
You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.

I run paradoxSHIFT. It's a generic news site, and most of the news items are stuff I'm personally interested in. Hopefully, someone else finds my ramblings entertaining.

I've only done one feature on my webpage (which is also my favorite thing on my site, which is The 25 Hardest Shooters Ever Made. I've been real wary of linking it as I feel that the majority of my writing in it is really awful. But then again, I am my worst critic.

Anyway, I hope to add a lot more to the site, I just need time to do it.

Well it's not my site but my buddy Paleface who doesn't post here has a great site: http://paleface.net/cgi-bin/gdb/n.pl?c=news It's the only place online where you'll find much actual info on the likes of Star Trigon and other overlooked goodies.

Well, I run featheredwings.net, a site which aims to provide good resources for shootemups. Currently available is a Scans archive with select scans from Arcadia (when I can be bothered to do them), and a downloadable Music section with a few select tracks from various games (when I can be bothered to rotate them).

The main features of the site is the Replays section, which lists all the currently available superplays I've done for various shooters, as well as the Bittorrent Replaytracker, a web-based bittorrent tracker for the distribution of superplays, stage replays, location test footage and other shmup-related video material.

The tracker itself is public, so you can use it if you have a bittorrent client handy, but to upload to the tracker you need access. More info is housed at the [fw.net replaytracker] update announcements thread, where you can post updates if you have upload access, make comments, or request reseeding of the currently available material. I also use another thread on this forum, [fw.net updates], where I announce news of site updates whenever I get round to doing them.

I'd be doing some superplays right about now, but I'm engrossed in Battle Garegga again, and am currently working on rewriting the Garegga ST with better information, as well as making a start to the HTML versions of all my ST Guides to be archived at the site.

My site gameoverDude.com has pretty much reviews for the most part, although an occasional bit of news makes it in. Just recently I have been bit by the redesign bug, so I've given the site a little graphical makeover. I've also thrown a Flash game arcade in there awhile back. Taito games and shmups get a good bit of coverage in reviews here. Most of the reviews are my work, with a few by my friend CodePenguin. Members are allowed to submit reviews if they like.

One of my favorite pages there is the Ketsui review that I did early last year. This one made it into the top 10 most popular articles on the site.

I run www.shootthecore.com, which is a mixture of fanart, articles, shmup odds and ends, but what most people seem to come back for is the pc shooter database, links to any and all pc shmups I can get my grubby little hands on.
Don't just dodge bullets, dance around them.

I run Sega-16, which is a shrine devoted to everything Genesis. We currently have about 200 comprehensive reviews and almost 100 articles, as well as a media archive and full master lists.

Stop by and hang around. Sign up at the forum while you're there!
