Searching for a shmup

A few years ago I played a shmup in the arcade. it was a horizontal moving shooter and the graphic was anime styled (and pretty cute) and you were flying a 1940s bomber..
Anyone know this game?

Are there any more details tucked away in your memory? This could be a fair few different games. About what year did you play this?

I didn't know there were that many horizontal shmups with anime style graphics where you were playing WW2-style planes

I played this three years ago but I am sure that the game was a few years older. Looked like something from the late 90s or something. It's kind of a cartoonish version of Biggles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biggles

1st thing I thought of!
but would have been pretty much a shot in the dark with the OP I admit it.
I loved that game when I tried it and then liked it less and less the more I played it no idea why.
I guess it was cause I was super impressed at first and it was one of the 1st games I tried when I rediscovered the genre.
