1cc B-Wings again.
This is my signature. It's so unique, nobody else has it.

Re: 2011 shmups goals thread
I failed everything I almost didn't play this year and been sucked in other games.
I'll get back on it when I finally get a decent stick.

There's only a month left, but I'm going to try to 1-All Progear and maybe 1cc DFK BL and/or BL arrange.
Re: 2011 shmups goals thread
The year has gone, and its time to reflect on what I've done:
1CC Espgaluda II with at least 350mil: I'm not gonna lie, I just ended up losing interest in this game after playing everything else. I used to enjoy playing it at the local arcade when we still had it, but playing at home just doesn't have that same feeling so I couldn't motivate myself to play it over other games. I might go for the clear at a later point, but for now I'm putting this game on the back burner.
Break 240mil in Touhou EoSD Normal: I played this game for a significant part of the year, and got to 268 million, a score I'm personally quite happy with. I'd like to push even higher sometime in the future - possibly this year, but there's other games I want to play so I'll probably wait a while before coming back to this.
1CC Espgaluda using only one hand: I never managed this, though it wasn't because of lack of effort - I was able to make it to stage 5 consistently without too much trouble, but then sometimes when I played my stick would malfunction - as in randomly shut off, or trigger random buttons. I'm not
sure where the problem was - it would only occur when things got hectic so I'm not sure if it was a problem with my controller or with my PS2 (possibly with my bootloader).
Play some Shmups outside of CAVE and Touhou: I messed around with a few other shooters. I played Crimson Clover for a bit, and started getting into some of the G.Rev stuff like Border Down and Under Defeat. I didn't really spend a lot of time with any of them though, but at least I broadened my shmup knowledge a little bit. Also, its a CAVE game but I've recently been playing quite a bit of Pink Sweets 1.01, which I've been having a lot of fun with. I'm going to be spending a good portion of 2012 playing that.
Keep meets alive in Seattle: without a good local arcade we haven't been able to do anything epic like before, but at least recently the regular guys from the old meets have been able to get together on a somewhat regular basis. A couple of us even have candy cabs so we've been able to play on nice hardware!
Maybe I concentrated a bit too much on goal #2, but overall I'm happy with how I've played this year. Setting concrete goals along the way helped me concentrate on specific aspects of my play to improve on. Here's to a good 2012!
