Here's a morbid thread.

For those unfamiliar with Dead Pool's (not talking about the lame Rob Liefeld comic character), each member picks up to 10 people they think will die in the coming year. Last year we lost a lot of evil (Bin Laden, Kim Jong Il, Gaddafi, Al Davis) and some good (Hitchens, The Macho Man, my grandpa ).

Rules: you've got until the end of January to post your list. Only deaths that would make the news should be listed.

Yeah, I kinda took yours NTSC-J but that's only cause I agree. Castro and Mandela both are really getting on now and they've both been in hospital in the last year, so it seems likely. Actually that's my logical reasoning for all of them besides the idiot CLP leader.

As for my list:

1. Fidel Castro - Frankly he should have succumbed to his illness long ago.
2. Zsa Zsa Gabor - Not in the best of health.
3. Ray Bradbury - 91 years of age means not much time left for this SciFi great.
4. Eli Wallach - Old Tuco's day are definitely winding down.
5. Nelson Mandela - A bit of a tough call. Age is definitely against him, but he seems to be in generally good health. 50/50
6. Ernest Borgnine - again, 94 years is a long time.

Oh, since this is now officially a drinking thread; I'd like to point out (defensively) how drinking socially is so completely situational. When I lived in Providence, which is pretty small, all my friends who'd go out drinking were nearby. Getting together once a week at the local brewpub was pretty common and a great time. But try that shit in LA. Try stacking a 30 minute drive each way to almost anywhere and beer that's twice the price it should be. Seriously, drinking isn't for the common man in LA and going out and having a drink is certainly nothing you do casually.

You seem to be under the interpretation that you're able to play referee here. The only thing you've done on this forum is profit from it. Do you even play shmups?
