Cannot find the name of this Helicopter SCHMUP!! HEEEELP!!
Hello braniacs. If you could help me, you would be amazing as I am currently stumped. This game was around in the early 90's in arcade cabinet format and in your local liquor stores. I remember being so impressed with this game that I went to my local Toys R Us to find it for my console at the time but it didn't exist. Now that Mame is out I'd love to finally finish that game. Here's how I remember it. It was a vertical side scroller shooter and your vehicle was a helicopter, but a nice modern sleek helicopter. I remember player 1 being a black chopper and the game had this great guitar/rock soundtrack to it. Also when you got a power up the game made this great guitar "riff" sound to acknowledge you got the power up. I remember this game being Twin Cobra, except its NOT!! I have looked all over the internet for the name of this game and I can't find it! I've looked through lists of SCHMUPS and they don't ring a bell! Anyone wanna take a crack? Thanks for the time!

Could also be Twin Eagle.

The guitar riff powerup noise and rock soundtrack would absolutely identify it as Twin Eagle: Revenge Joe's Brother. Especially considering how common it was in the States in the early-mid nineties.
Definitely a kusoge, but not without its charms.

I'm kind of curious how you came to a forum named SHMUPS, with 11 instances of the word SHMUP in thread titles on the front page, and proceeded to put SCHMUP in your thread title. I'm going to assume it was deliberate, reinforced by the capitalization, which leaves the question of why.

German "sh" sound is usually spelled "sch". Also, Yiddish!Deca wrote:I'm kind of curious how you came to a forum named SHMUPS, with 11 instances of the word SHMUP in thread titles on the front page, and proceeded to put SCHMUP in your thread title. Must have some experience with that.
