It's actually rather good if not a little simplistic.
Rank increases as the game continues and destroying a yellow star clears the screen of bullets but also bumps up rank even further so by the final minute things are pretty hectic. You start with 5 lives but not sure what the penalty is for dying...

Nope. You only become invulnerable for 5 seconds when you get hit.
Also today, I reached level 202 and WOW, everything goes right at me. So yes, rank does increase rapidly over time , but they also give more points upon survival. So you know what they say, no risk, no reward.
YT|2nd YT|1ccs| Good, bad, I'm the guy with the keyboard! Note:Please PM me if you need scores to be updated!
Thanks for this Despatche! You've found a gem
How are you getting screenshots? If I do printscreen and then paste I'm just getting a black box.
Button 2 or X to boost ship speed (invaluable) and R for hi score replay at title screen.
The fact that the different enemies fire different colour bullets is also quite useful in identifying your immediate threats and taking them out, at least early on before the screen has become a sea of madness!

Yea it definitely is addictive. I may need to stop, though, until I see a superplay. I don't like inching along with my score like this. ZAP says that 10 million is possible :/
btw, to take print-screen picks, I boot up the game in window mode.
