I have two questions regarding Bomberman Generation PAL:
- Does it output 60 Hz? There's no mode selection screen once it boots and holding B won't work with the PSX-to-GameCube adapter I'm using (the Wii takes its sweet time detecting it and when it's done, the intro is already running).
- Is the 50 Hz mode properly optimised? Looks fine to me, but I want to know whether or not it's slower than the NTSC original.
Also, does holding B really work on Wii? If so, when exactly should I press it? Will it work with a third party GameCube joypad?

Re: Bomberman Generation
Argh, this game drives me fucking crazy. I bought TWO legit Nintendo GameCube joypads, no less, in seemingly working order (the B buttons work in game), but holding B as the game boots did NOTHING. Does ANYBODY on here own Bomberman Generation PAL and can confirm whether it oputs 60 Hz or not?

doesn't it say anything about it in the manual?

Don't worry about it. You can travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda and back 1500 times before the sun explodes.

Haven't found anything about 60 Hz in the manual. Oh dear. Still hope that somebody here, of all places, knows if the PAL version runs at full speed.
Here's a 50 Hz gameplay vid. Someone familiar with the NTSC version should be able to judge if it actually is slower.

I do have a new & unopened copy of NTSC U/C Bomberman Generation but would have to crack it open to see if the 50 Hz video of it is slower or not. It'd be running on a USA region Gamecube, of course.

Well, that would be quite drastic and besides, YouTube isn't the best of places to measure timing. I still have some less irreversible options left.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:I do have a new & unopened copy of NTSC U/C Bomberman Generation but would have to crack it open to see if the 50 Hz video of it is slower or not.
