Memory card isn't saving.

I'm really not sure what to do here. Just recently I noticed my gamecube memory card not saving. It's not official, and it's cheaply made. But that shouldn't stop it from saving.

I'm playing Shikigami 2 using a Freeloader. Every single time I check the memory card menu, it says it needs to be formatted. From what I've heard, when you save with a japanese game, it formats it automatically to japanese erasing other saves.

Is it because it isn't official? I really don't know what to think. The gamecube isn't even showing the japanese in the game, it's just a bunch of crap.

It's not official, and it's cheaply made. But that shouldn't stop it from saving.

But it will quite often stop it from working. I really think you answered your own question.

I never said it was working in the first place. It isn't saving anything, period. The freeloader manual indicates that when you save a japanese game to a memory card, the memory card will be formatted to japanese. I don't think that this is working though.

And more specifically, the chances are I'm doing something wrong.

The Freeloader doesn't properly save with some games. Then again, I never heard anything about it not working with Shikigami 2.
