Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
It's a badass little shmup included as a mini (sub) game on Kirby Mass Attack for the DS... Check this out.... It's pretty neat!
Re: Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
I have a copy of Mass Attack waiting to be played. Finishing Ys 2 first.

You are in for a treat.
Re: Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
So how many medals do I need to unlock this?
Started playing this evening and have got 20 so far (!)

Re: Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
I noticed the title of the game is a parody of Uchuu Keibitai SDF (also made by HAL). The parody is definitely more noticable in the JP title screen I found on youtube.

It's damnably hard to die, but I liked it enough to play it a couple of times. I prefer Brawl Ball, which is awesome. Main game is great too.
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.

Re: Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
What does the kanji in the JP title of Strato Patrol EOS say in Romaji? I'm guessing it's a pun on Uchuu Keibitai or something along those lines. I'm curious what Uchuu Keibitai translates to, as well.
I'm surprised with how much content some of the subgames have. Strato Patrol has 6 stages (though one is the final boss stage) and Brawl Ball has multiple bosses. Very surprising for extra games.

Uchuu Keibitai - Space Guardians
Something like that anyway.

Re: Anyone ever played Strato Patrol EOS?
Hurray! Finally got 36 medals and unlocked the game.
Didn't think much of it til I got to Stage 3 and then realised that actually it's rather good with some nice bosses.
Thanks to OP for getting me off Ketsui Death Label and onto Kirby goodness.
Can't help but also notice similarities in this to Shoot 1 Up ( but with Kirbys!)- wonder if the dev ever played this or vice versa
