Ok, so where can I get those European spacebucks? I just used that pointheaven site someone linked to here, and I received a refund on my order saying "Danish customers only, sorry". What gives?

There are so many play styles and modes. This is a lot to absorb at once. Also, this has probably already been covered, but is there Black Label DLC for us Americans?

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
I've been playing for about 10 hours. Here are some things I noticed:DrTrouserPlank wrote:I don't know why people seem to always say this game is easy. Using the middle-type (power?) it's probably the hardest cave game I've played. Much harder than DOJ.
1) Blue ship on strong is probably the easiest to coast through the game on.
2) Some parts of the game are extremely difficult without using the hyper. For someone of my skill level, knowing when to pass through those parts with the hyper is mandatory. I'm sure that people more skilled than me can do it, but the two ships that vomit bullets out at the beginning of Stage 3 always kick my ass if I don't use a hyper.
3) The game feels rigid to me. If you don't move in one of the correct paths you're either going to have to use a bomb, hyper or you'll end up getting hit. Just take the game one section at a time and figure out a flight path that works. That is, the game has some enemies that just seem to produce SO many slow moving bullets that there's not much of a choice but to herd them from the edge of the screen (yes, I'm looking at you Stage 3 opening), and (at least compared to Mushihime 2) there are quite a few enemies that have patterned shots.
I can make it to level 5 with 2 lives in stock, so I think I'm on my way to getting the 1-All, but I need to chart out a course to getting through the rotating lasers.

I 1-all'd with B-Strong this my first day playing it and have not managed to do so again.
Most of the people saying it's easy is due to getting a cheesy 1-all with Strong while getting hit a lot. Yet there's still the matter of second loops and getting good enough to clear, which is not easy at all.

I wish that autobombing wasn't a feature in this game. Other than that, I'm thoroughly enjoying this game.

I've just heard from a friend that GAME Australia has told her they're not stocking DDP-R. They've also taken it off their website .

Jbhifi and gametraders both stock deathsmiles, so they may be getting daifukkatsu in too.BPzeBanshee wrote:I've just heard from a friend that GAME Australia has told her they're not stocking DDP-R. They've also taken it off their website .

GAME are like one of the biggest, most mainstream retailers though, I wouldn't have even been expecting them to stock it. You should have just ordered it online.BPzeBanshee wrote:I've just heard from a friend that GAME Australia has told her they're not stocking DDP-R. They've also taken it off their website .

We have it here in the US because we ordered it from the UK or paid a premium price by shopping from importers. You coulda ordered it from shopto and be playing it right nowBPzeBanshee wrote:I've just heard from a friend that GAME Australia has told her they're not stocking DDP-R. Someone in Australia is not going to import a PAL game from the UK to play. Playing this game has helped me understand why some people hate Ikaruga.hail good sir wrote:Scoring in 1.5 is so absolutely rage inducing. I thought it would be a fun adventure to try for a novice 2all + nice score with power, but fuck me the number of times I've restarted halfway through 1-5 because oops there goes 100 billion down the drain is so frustrating. Then just now I get a nice 200 billion loop 1 and....a 26 billion loop 2, halfway through 2-5.
I hate this game
Only this game is so much more punishing for even the slightest mistake

People from Australia are not going to import a PAL game from a PAL country when the same PAL game is coming to their own PAL country. It would've been cheaper for me to import from the UK too so there's no "premium" price. It's just outright bad organisation, I mean they advertised it, announced a release date, were happy to take preorders for it, and then all of a sudden pull it without even telling the people that preordered it that it's been cancelled???
Once again, I plead someone from RSG to come here and tell us what is going on..

I bought it from Video Games New York (http://www.videogamesnewyork.com/) for 49.99. It's kinda nice have a place like this close to home, especially since they sell Japanese 360 consoles, imports, and sticks.

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
Spoke with the GAME staff at my local store directly after not getting any calls; their excuse was something to the word of "the publisher decided they weren't going to send the stock to Australia". They claimed they tried to call me yesterday but I know that's bullshit since I was home all afternoon and none of the family reported the home phone ringing. I find it difficult to believe Rising Star would ignore Australia so I presume by 'publisher' he actually meant whoever in GAME's CEO office decides this. Hopefully one of the other stores that stocked Deathsmiles when it came out here may stock it in, but knowing JB Hifi's incompetent staff they won't know anything at least till release day (November 30).
At least I got my money back.
Elixir said it: I shouldn't have to put up with this shit regardless, especially 5 days prior to (Australian) release. It's basic region distribution that's failed here.

You clearly weren't around to see my experiences getting Deathsmiles here, and if you had you would know why I held back from getting it imported via online purchase.Paradigm wrote:GAME are like one of the biggest, most mainstream retailers though, I wouldn't have even been expecting them to stock it. You might be lucky with some other retailer. For example: Gamestop Germany doesn't even list it while they did for deathsmiles. But everywhere else you can buy it.

I used http://gamepointexpress.com/index.php?route=common/home, which took only a couple of hours, and a kind email warning me that the code would be only useable on an EU/UK account, and offering a refund. After I told them that I did indeed want euro points, they sent it within minutes of that.Age of Kings wrote:Ok, so where can I get those European spacebucks? Xbox also wanted me to use a billing address when I redeemed the code, so I used the London YMCA. I hope that doesn't cause me any problems.

BL must be purchased on EU market place w/ EU points.
Setting up an EU xbl (Silver) account is free, & easy. As covered earlier in the thread, you can tie a paypay account to your 360.

There is some noob question: Whats the difference between green and yellow bees? Which one I must take? I see that yellow gives a score multiplier, green - just score...
And once more about the game box cover. There is NO DDP R and DDP DFK back COVER SCAN on the internet! You will be first. Make it pleeease!!

Yellow bees have score multipliers, yes. Green bees give you some paltry points and partially refill your hyper meter. White bees, which appear for a split second when a bee switches colors, will completely refill your hyper meter.

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
This is completely wrong, you just get the effects of both bee types. Green charges about 1/3 of the hyper bar. In practice, the score from the yellow bees is so laughably minimal it can be ignored while green bees are really useful in some parts. Picking up a bee also fills the chain bar which is important.Estebang wrote:White bees, which appear for a split second when a bee switches colors, will completely refill your hyper meter.
