That's the most incredible gaming-related auction I've ever seen. His collection is almost unbelievably massive. And he's got some really unusual stuff -- SuperGrafx, FM Towns, a *Vectrex* for heaven's sake, among several other systems I'd almost forgotten ever existed.

Local pickup only? How is it possible to get ripped off? You go to the guy's house and he's either got what he says he has or he doesn't. If he does, you make the deal. If he doesn't you tell him to piss off. Simple.
no chance that someone will buy it. if it is genuine, incredible collection, but $80,000 is crazy. should have broken it up. made many people happy instead of none.
Shou sold his shit for like $70K, maybe this guy has more? I can't be bothered to read it all. That is the collection of a fool. I'd rather have a life than a Marty. The End.
I don't think that's a collection of a fool. I have over 40 consoles in my collection and I have been collecting since about 1983. Nothing wrong with doing it over time.
I didn't really mean that in an insulting way though. I meant that I would literally have to trade in a whole bunch of what I like about my life and lifestyle in order to have such a collection. It wouldn't be worth it for me, even at a monetary investment of way less than 80K.
Did he ebay his stuff? He really did have a quality collection. There's a severe difference between accumulating loads of games and actually having quality stuff.
