Soft15Khz Dongle what does it do exactly how does it work ?

hi Shmups members , i will be getting a new PC next year and my current PC will be then used as a emulation machine for my Astros. Im also thinking of getting a new Radeon 6xxx to replace my ArcadeVGA2 for more power. Ive heard of some people having problems with Soft15khz with new Cards but have heard of the Soft15Khz Dongle on Arcade Forge.

How it does it is via the UID (iirc).

You might want to reconsider - it won't make any difference for emulation speeds.

It also depends on if he wants to emulate at all, Some of the things I enjoy playing on my arcade machine are modern video games. I have a Radeon 4750 in my Mamebox. Mame doesn't use it, but you bet sure as shit everything else I play does.

sailorsat, the developer of the Soft15Khz has made a dongle layout for using her software with new generation graphic cards. It pretends a specific EDID thus enabling modern gc to work.

i think i might buy a Dongle and if i run into any problems i will buzz sailorsat at the mentioned link from bencao74 , @bencao74 also next year i will be buying a Sync Strike , SLG3000 , cga2vga Scaler PCB along with Enclosures for each i cant wait to get them.
