Decided to make my own smartphone/ipod Mame arcade cab to play some of the arcade pcb shmups I own like Xevious.
Basically , touch controls for classic games suck. So I created a desktop cab which would allow me to use
real controls for playing some of favourite classic games on a smartphone/ipod touch. Took a while to do, especially the artwork which is my own design but it was worth it in the end.
Check it below and let me know what you think

Could this iTouch project be used on the Cave iOS shmup titles like Dodonpachi-Dai-Fukkatsu? Cool to see Xevious up & running on an iTouch setup with dedicated micro arcade controls.

It will work with all emulators that accept a wii remote as input (Pretty much all of them).
Dont know much about Cave IOS titles ?, do they accept Wiimote input ??.

No they don't unfortunately. Don't work with Wiimotes or the iControlPad API. Although I asked about possible support on Cave's Facebook page. Would be nice to be able to play them on the official iCade + iPad + Espgaluda II iOS High-Def edition....

Is there a list of games you can play this way on an iPhone that's not been jailbreaked? I might pick up a Wiimote if there's any cool games.

All emulators will require a jailbroken iphone/ipod to be loaded . In terms of games that can run on emulators that support the wiimote, theres literally 10,000 + and then sum.

I actually asked a similar question on Twitter earlier this month. The response was "It's being looked at, but can't say either way at the moment."Stealthlurker wrote:No they don't unfortunately.
