Guwange Blue Label

Post by SuperPang »

So I came across these files and I hear they work on the original hardware. Has anyone done this and if so, where can I get them burnt and which ROMs do I replace?

Cheers

I'm very interested in this also. Keep us posted.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

If you're careful with a flathead screwdriver it's easy enough, chip extractors are horrible things, never using one again.

Talking of serials, when I took my dead DOJ to replay, and yosai took his so we could try swapping the EPROMS over to see if it was as simple as that - we took them both out of the case and I used the chip extractor to mangle the fuck out of my chips, put the boards next to each other to see if we could notice anything obvious, and noticed the serials were 1214 and 1215 :P

many bricks were shat

I know this is probably a very n00b question, but what are all the 'Label' editions in shmups, like Black Label etc. ? are they kinda extended versions or something?

Thanks

Tweaks to gameplay mostly, but sometimes a completely different scoringsystem, new music and sometimes palette changes. The arcade equivalent to arrange modes. Black Label means a commercial product, blue label are usually just for game shows/festivals.

Been playing this for a couple of days and just found out you can 'stop' the game with P2 start and rewind the stage with bomb button plus down on the P1 stick and press start to begin again.,
if your at the boss and try it the boss bgm will loop as it doesn't restart the stage music at that point, but it's quite a cool/weird feature.
interesting.
