Does it look legit? Seller has 2 recent negatives for fakes. 800 bucks is a lot of money and seeing as how all you'd need to fake could be easily done with a printer...
Fake, the prize edition was not a DORI KORE reprint but a regular copy. Of course this means the game itself is indistinguishable from any other Japanese first print copy of Bangai-O. Even if it had been a real "prize edition", it would have been silly to pay that much money for it. Pretty funny how the seller messed up the one thing that makes this stand out as a fake instantly. The poster looks like an inkjet print, too.
In short, the person who bid 800 USD for this is a moron, especially given the feedback of the seller, who appears to be a scammer.

On eBay Australia Recca is available at approx. $1500 - http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw= ... m270.l1313

Huge price but not nearly as bad as that crap sports game that was so rare that the seller of the game bundle which included it pretty much became an instant millionaire.

akai katana LE must be up there? most expensive retail price for sure?

I know it says no PCBs but ceph is banned and AKLE is a PCB released strictly for home use (freeplay only) so it kinda changes the game a bit?

That one's waaaaaay overpriced, though. I didn't pay nearly that much for my CIB Recca.

Still, Recca probably does rank near the top of the list for rare and expensive shmups.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Yeah, I thought as much. The prices listed here in this thread years ago for Recca were much less, no wonder no one's bought it from that guy.

I still like to think it's probably a little less overpriced than some of the Cave PCBs, that's for sure. :P
