This year overall has been shit for shipping damn earthquakes, tsunamis and fucking volcanoes.
Ive only recently started ordering from play-asia this year and my last 2 packages took between 3-4 weeks. Atm ive been waiting over a month now for MMP & PS, I wonder if some UK customs officer is 1CCing the games before sending them off to me.
Ill wait another 3-4 weeks before getting onto PA. Do they reimburse for missing packages using the std airmail shipping? Looking at their site Ild say no but google searches to old forums say otherwise. My guess is that PA have changed their code of pratice recently but ild just like to make sure
As a rule, I don't use a shipping method that takes more than a week. Much less stress that way since they usually have pretty detailed tracking info online, plus the faster shipping methods tend to be insured in case something does go wrong.
Haha, three cheers for Elixer, proud representive of the shmups forum and its elitist ways! Don't forget to post some unboxing vids with some smooth jazz playing in the background.
[edit] NCSX order just Shipped!!! Should have this tomorrow!!! In yo face suckkkkeeerrss!!!!

Indeed, my Akai Katana Shin order from NCS has shipped out (or more likely, sitting in their warehouse waiting for the UPS guy to come pick it up) and it should be in my hands tomorrow - just in time for me to be out of town all weekend. Guess at least I can cancel that AmiAmi order I completely forgot about.
NCS wrote:Akai Katana Shin - Early Arrival
Due to an early shipment of X360 Akai Katana Shin, most preorders for the regular and limited editions of the game are shipping today. Any remaining preorders will be processed and shipped tomorrow when our normal shipments of the game arrive. If you chose UPS overnight delivery for your preorder, please look out for the game tomorrow. Tracking numbers will be updated before 6PM EST today.
Akai Katana shipped from NCS, also. Now begins the ordeal of me constantly checking the USPS tracking site, and wishing I had opted for next-day, so that I could waste my Memorial day on this.

And my order hasn't even been processed yet. Weird.
I know they're closed at the moment but it's worth giving them an email/phone call - there's a notification that all batch A orders have been sent on their website.
I never get any notification or emails to say they've sent something, though I noticed my card was processed over a week ago.

Yeah, I wonder what date they processed everything. I had batch A pre-ordered, but I haven't received any emails about any issues.

In the same situation as you. Hopefully they have sent it.. Got no order confirmation either until after a week when I emailed them and asked about it.
Pre-ordered Akai Katana Shin on AmiAmi and got the "Order Ready" email on the 25th. I had to wait till the 26th to get paid and now what would have came today, I'll probably get on Tuesday. Should have gone with NCSX as I usually do, as their price was close minus shipping, but since I live one state away, I chose cheapest shipping and still get stuff the next day. Not that it matters because I wouldn't be at home to sign for the AmiAmi delivery if it did come today! Arrived in AMC JFK, NY, so Tuesday is looking like a definite!

I got my game today. They had pulled money from my account as early as the 16:th, so have a look and see if you've been charge around that date.
Got mine Tuesday, right before I was heading to work. Getting stuff from AmiAmi reminds me how hassle free NCSX stuff is because you don't have to wait for the postman/woman to sign for it. ^_^;
I actually have all my USPS/EMS stuff sent to my PO box - that way I just show up at the post office whenever it's convenient to grab the package and go. You don't even have to get a large PO box - even if you get the smallest possible size, they still hold packages for you at the counter.
Yeah, I'm absolutely certain that Rising Star wants to release AK unlocked and will try everything they can to do so, but it seems likely that Cave will tell them to lock it so they'll have the option of an American GoD release open. Or Microsoft's new edict against region-freedom could be a global thing. At least the localization issue will be taken care of, since Akai Katana is the only 360 shmup port with a real language barrier (menus completely in Japanese).
Can we get an update on the ESPgaluda II X360 releases? I see that two are listed, but what about the BL platinum release? Is it region free? I'm speaking of this one:
I've seen a few conflicting reports, and Play-Asia's site just has a " "
I have the SE but others who have the PE say its region free. The LE is locked.
BTW Ive heard that the PE has the Black Label mode on disk, Is this correct? If so I might pick it up to save myself having to make an JPN account. Will my 360 see the different versions as seperate games or will I have problems?
