well original without max rank is just like original mush, not much scoring to be done exept finishing with plenty of lives.
original MAX is just like futari BL, get in the enemys face and youll draw gems, get the counter over 10000 and you start drawing big gems, your counter halves between stages and every ~10K on the counter you see a rank increase.
thats it, no alternating shots or anything like that.

There's no point at all to the video being in HD, really. The game's output resolution is 240x320.

There would still be plenty of a point to it. A low res game captured and saved in HD looks better than it captured in low res and blown up. No doubt about it.

well you can compare the new HD vid to the old low resolution ones ive got up on the same youtube account, let me know if you still prefer the old ones afterwards ;)

i can actually shoot 1080P with my new cam but its a bit overkill as i dont know anything about editing and such.. yet..

Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed seeing this game in action.

How I wish CAVE would port this to the 360.

I am super jealous of people who own this game, above people who own any other game.

Fuck dammit. This would be the first PCB I'd buy if I had a cab.

Exactly. You can get the entire Raiden series for the price of this and still have cash to spare, I reckon.

Let's see how much more close for comfort we'll get if this gets dumped and put in MAME. :P

Games don't get put in mame until they are at least 3 years old so maybe you will see this in 2014. I'd rather have this board than the Raiden series any day, but that's me.

The thing is with this you're basically getting 3 (or 6) games in 1 and I'd wager every mode has far more depth than any Raiden game. I'd gladly pay 2k if I had the cash.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Mushi is quality, especially Matsuri edition - but why pay that price when I can have more fun with the same style of gameplay (in original, the others aren't to my taste) done right, and done years beforehand. That's me though. :P

Oh, and the MAME reference was a joke. I wouldnt expect be seeing that till 2015 at least, and even then.

I would much rather have this than every Raiden game. Futari Black Label is my favorite STG, so this would be a dream come true. I'd like to own Raiden Fighters Jet, Deathsmiles, Futari Black Label, Battle Bakraid, etc, but I can play those in other forms. I really liked the original Mushi, but the scoring was a bit wacky. This sounds like a dream.

I don't think people that own this are buying it instead of a handful of reasonably priced games. They are buying it in addition to the others.

I hope their word is super mud and they release it for 360 next year, not that I really expect it.

finally managed to crack my counter over 1.000.000 yesterday, and just like blue label the visible counter maxes out at 999.999hits while the overall keeps rising (got to about 1100K).

finished stage 2 just shy of 700mil..

I mean, they do seem to release everything eventually. But to expect a packaged release of such "antiquated" games is pretty hopeful. I can say that a Mushi + Mushi 1.5 disc would be one of my all-time favorite games, though. It'd be like christmas morning every day for a week after I got it.

They don't release everything to console ports. There has been no ESP Ra.De., Progear, Feveron, or Akai Katana Limited. Arguably there has been no real Ibara. If they port the limited run boards that they sell for $3,000 then they will start selling fewer of them because some potential buyers will just wait for the ports. Just my 2 cents of course.

i personally dont mind the ports, i dont care if they'd port everything they ever made, in fact i would encourage it.

im kinda miffed they release a super limited item and market it as such and then it turns out its not limited at all tho..

I can only web-translate the page but it sounds like they got a lot of requests for another run of it. It still seems pretty limited. But after their multi-runs of AK Limited and this, it seems to be expected from now on that all their boards will have multiple runs regardless of their "marketing methods". I think most of their sold out signs are nothing more than that as well.

I wasn't trying to say they release *literally* everything eventually. But they have been on a huge spree lately.

Needs a 360 port.

...and I think they stated AKLE will only ever be a pcb but I don't recall them saying anything about this.

...and they were trying to release feveron.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but is Ibara so different that some don't consider it a real port? Is it further from the pcb than Dodonpachi?

I just like to learn as much as I can about these ports, since its the only way I can play these awesome games until I get a cab.

I don't have it but from what I've read it's a bastardization between Ibara and Ibara Kuro completely missing any slowdown and with options like changing colors. More like a different Ibara game than a port I suppose.
