I hope freemium is a sustainable business model. They've said that paid DLC won't involve anything that confers a tactical advantage, but I'm a bit hesitant. I'll give the game a try nevertheless out of fondness for the series.
Didn't they learn how to make an online-only game from APB??
1. Create some fun, profitable offline titles to get practice and revenue.
2. Create an ambitious, overreaching design that millions of people hunger for. (In this case, Grand Theft Auto mmo.)
3. Hire a bunch of useless "business guys" to run your company for you, and hire other people you don't need.
4. Business guys spend all of your money on cocaine and hookers at an inhuman rate.
5. All you had time to finish was character creation. It's the best damn character creation interface ever made... but all you managed to complete of the actual game itself was driving around in a circle around 1 city block.
6. Since you're extremely desperate for revenue, tack on a fee to play at the last minute.
7. Collapse a month later. Gang up and beat up the asshole who thought hiring "business guys" would help, somehow.
... so where's the pay to play feature?
PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.
Wait, is this replacing the reboot which was meant to be set in 3015 and was on hold for ages because the trailer showed a Warhammer?
Multiplayer only games do not interest me in the slightest because I want to play the game for as long as I have hardware or emulation capable of doing it. MW4 was a bit limp and dumbed down but MW3 had an awesome campaign. What's wrong with doing something like that?
