I noticed in the MAME driver, there's a define that allows the YM2151 to output in stereo mode,
as the FM music is sequenced in stereo. This sounds like an interesting mod for the actual PCB.
I don't have the PCB but I assume the PCB uses the YM3014 mono DAC.
So, has anyone attempted doing this? I would imagine you would swap that YM3014 with a
YM3012 stereo DAC, mix with ADPCM audio, and stereo amplify?
Tatsujin Oh / Truxton II Stereo Mod?
Re: Tatsujin Oh / Truxton II Stereo Mod?
I don't think anybody hasd modded their T2 PCB's with a YM3012.
It looks like an advanced mod as the YM3012 has twice as many pins compared to YM3014, but of course if you know how to hook the YM3012 up on the PCB then i don't think it is much trouble.
Truxton 2 has a bad sound to begin with (at least the two PCB's i have is having some awful distortion) so a sound mod can be needed anyway even if it is not a stereo mod
