Well guys, good news, although the release day Black Label DLC is a complete lie, you can get BL early for 800MSP. http://bit.ly/uZAAA3

Also, the description seems to be biased, and also from Black Label.

Game Des:Dash from enemy to enemy to string together long combos and send your score into the stratosphere!

BL Des:Experience the DoDonPachi Resurrection Black Label mode.

Don't forget that Ketsui has been somewhat of a holy grail for a lot stg fans, so when it is integrated with one of the most populare shooter series, the DDP series, it's a given that people will be hyped - whatever the reviews. And fortunately, a lot of people wanna make up their own mind and not just trust what you've "heard from people".

If I'm in the US how long would it take do you think if I bought from GAME? I assume you mean game.co.uk?

yes, GAME.co.uk but i'm unsure of what shipping times would apply to the US. i only know UK shipping times. hell, when Deathsmiles finally came out here, I got my copy a day early.

Does anyone know if Black Label comes with the LE of this game? I preordered the LE from NCSX and need to know if I should put MSP in my account. Cheers.

Are you talking about the Japanese LE TheSoundofRed?

If so, it didn't come with the Black Label. The BL was available as DLC and on its own physical/boxed release.

He's probably referring to this:

It's misleading since it doesn't actually say if BL is included.

Also,

"Black Label - This DLC is an enhanced version of the game, considered by hardcore shmup gamers as the best version available for experts"

Man, what.

Ahhh it would seem I misread/remembered the title incorrectly. Not LE but Deluxe edition. As you may have noticed, my reading comprehension is through the ROOF!
On another note, I'm extremely psyched to be playing DFK at home. Thanks RSG for being awesome.

But if you want to be even more incredibly awesome, you'll have to make Akai Katana NA compatible as well :D

Damn it! My credit card denied the charge because it "aroused suspicion" that a foreign transaction was taking place. Now I have to go back and re-order this baby

That pic says it has 1.5 and 360 mode when I didn't think dfk had the arcade mode at all?

I have a feeling a certain journalist may have gotten slightly misled.

I hope my enthusiasm for BL didn't have something to do with that.

Well, I guess they're using 360 Mode to name Novice Mode. I think what they meant to write was, includes 360 Arcade Mode and 360 Novice Mode (both based on ver 1.5).

You mean the Daifukkatsu meh? Lots of people were feeling the Daifukkatsu meh, don't feel so bad. I was feeling it too.

Personally, I actually prefer 1.51 and Arrange A. Maybe I'll get a JP vanilla DFK copy again (it's under 3000 yen on amazon so whatever), that + BL DLC seems like a nice combo. Ketsuipachi is... unique? I don't really care for it that much, honestly. Just personal differences.

Nah, it wasn't that. It's just that said journalist (who may not have been too au-fait with any particular version) may have had my enthusiasm for BL rub off on him. All speculation of course.

BL is still stupendously hardcore so it's all good, but from a scoring perspective I think 1.5 poses a greater expert challenge. Whether or not it's more enjoyable is still up for debate.

Aw man, now I have to read up on the differences between 1.5, 1.51, arrange A and black label again.

US to UK usually takes about 10 days for me after being sent, so I assume the reverse would be similar.

This place isn't exactly filled with "hardcore shmup experts". Also the popularity of the hi score threads seems to indicate otherwise.

I think the thing about "hardcore shmup experts" is just there to hype it up and make the COD kiddies want to buy it.

You're in Australia right? Find a GAME store, or hope that JB Hifi finds out about it on November 30/31/some day when it arrives here. That's what I'm doing. Don't bother with EBGames, they're incompetent pricks.

Or gametraders, i've seen them stock deathsmiles so they probably will have dfk.

Meh, nitpicking. It has a better ring to it than "Black Label - This DLC is an enhanced version of the game, considered by Skykid and the shmups forum as the best version available for experts, even though most dont bother playing it for score"

To clarify, 'Deluxe' is the only version coming out in the PAL territories, so 'Deluxe' is effectively the standard PAL release.
