Cave Shooting Artworks

Post by Elaphe »

Recently I've read about a book of illustrations called Cave Shooting Artworks. I got these urls.

http://www.1999.co.jp/item_cart_e.asp?p ... Typ1_c=115
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-langu ... uage=ja_JP

Now, can you read that and tell me if this book is available, old and out ot print, or new and yet to be released? Also, have you found any photos of the inside? I'm sure it must be cool, but I'd like to see something before I order it.

PD: I have already ordered the Deathsmiles and the Mushihimesama artbooks. I can't wait to get them!

Doubtful since I don't believe it's put out by Cave themselves.

However, I have this book as well as the ESPGaluda II artbook for sale.

This one, right?:

If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.

That's what rancor always tells me.

I, too, would like to know how much they are. I guess I'll find out the 3rd.

Is that Hobby Search site reliable? That can be my backup.

Interesting. When you get the new Cave Shooting Artworks, please let me know (as well as the price), because I may get this and the ESPGaluda 2 book together.

Hey Rancor, do you know how many pages this is supposed to be, and whether it's all artwork or includes a lot of pages of kanji?

I can't read Japanese, so.

It will be 160 pages and mostly artwork. There may be a few pages of text, but the majority will be art. I'll let you know more tomorrow when I have my copy.

More interesting question: is there any new art or is this basically a cheap edition of last year's cave history book ?

Got it!

Ok - my thoughts:

pros - NO Japanese text, its ALL pictures. The pictures are large and full color. Good quality paper.
cons - you've seen many of these before. Not everything, but there are quite a few reprints.

Have a look!

52 pages of this book is dedicated to Deathsmiles artwork. Second largest collection is Futari with 18 pages.
Special World wrote:...and whether it's all artwork or includes a lot of pages of kanji? I can't read Japanese, so.
Aside from the front cover and the copyright info on the first page, there is next to no Japanese in this book. It's literally all art, and all in color.

I'll get some Ibara pics ASAP.
Special World wrote:That too. Could you compare it to Cave's other art books, maybe?
Almost all of the other CAVE artbooks I have are pretty heavy on the Japanese - usually they include at least one interview. This book has none. Usually the pics in some other books are quite small, but almost every other page in this book features a full-page print. The weird thing is that this book was published by Softbank. :?: :?: :?:
