Hori T6 stick PCB help

Post by MDK »

Just got ahold of the wireless Tekken 6 stick and wanted to know if it's possible to convert this to a wired stick at all or attach a plug & play unit? I'm guessing it's not possible but have not found a definitive answer yet.

Had a peek inside and can't see an area from usb input apart from a header located in the battery compartment, still digging around but the only resources I've found at the moment are -

As an owner of one of these sticks myself, I'm curious about this as well. Looking at my PS360 PCB's USB alternative header, that too has a 4-pin connector:

Wikipedia has this pinout:

+ = +5V | - = GND ?

It would be very cool if a USB connection could work with it.

Edit:

This page: http://www.accesscomms.com.au/reference/usb.htm lists colors like this:

Standard USB Pinout & Cable Color Code
Pin Wire Color Function
1 Red V BUS (+5V)
2 White D-
3 Green D+
4 Black Ground
Mini-USB Type-A Pinout & Cable Color Code
Pin Wire Color Function
1 Red V BUS (+5V)
2 White D-
3 Green D+
4 Joined to pin 5 ID
5 Black Ground
Mini-USB Type-B Pinout & Cable Color Code
Pin Wire Color Function
1 Red V BUS (+5V)
2 White D-
3 Green D+
4 Not connected (*) ID
5 Black Ground

I got one of these, the PS3 model, but the original PCB was cracked. Didn't matter, I don't have a PS3 :D

I gutted it, replaced the PCB with a generic wired hybrid PS2/PC USB that I pulled from another cheapo stick, soldered that bitch up (bitches love solder), and voila!

However, I think 3 of the original buttons have had it. Sucks because I'll have to grind those damn metal tabs off if I want to replace the buttons. But at least then I can use the nice PS-14's I have lying around.
