IIRC most retail 360 games have a menu where you can jump straight to the DLC shop when you put the disc in.

Futari worked that way didn't it? Don't see why DDP:R should be any different.
Futari DLC is the only game thats available outside Japan, MS changed the rules after its release. For the others you need an Japanese XBL account and points (theres a guide in how to do this somewhere in this forum)

I havnt bothered with any of the DLC yet but Ild imagine an US-UK account been much easier to get up and running with both in english

Deluxe edition includes:

Arrange Mode A

Arrange Mode B

Soundtrack CD

Black Label DLC - This DLC is an enhanced version of the game considered by hardcore shmup gamers as the best version available for experts.
Oh - that shouldn't be in the description, BL isn't included in this edition. Sorry. I sent a correction to ShopTo.

Amen to that, it might look convoluted but Akai Katana looks pretty neat. Hopefully something can be done about that 4:3 aspect issue if it hasn't been solved already though.

Have not played it for a while, but the horrible scaling could be fixed as well.

I have had it since the release, and if I remember correct they where lots of trouble with the early ones. So I think it has keept up pretty well.
But it is always sad when a console give up, I still have my old Mega Drive and NES and my trusty old C64 and they haven't given up on me.

Who's heading to London's MCM Expo (AKA London Comic Con it now seems) this month?

Resurrection will be there to play, and I'll be lurking about on the RSG stall with the RSG guys for much of the Saturday.

See you there maybe!

So I just realized that November 4th is the release date so I should preorder soon. How quickly does NCSX usually ship preorders? I've never dealt with them before so I don't know. Are there any other options that ship to the US?

I always used to go with Play-Asia, but switched to ncsx after a REALLY good experience with them getting Mushihimesama Futari. I'd expect them to ship the day it's released and depending on where you live it probably won't take any longer than 3 days to get to you with the standard shipping. It costs a little more than other stores there but it's worth it to me to not have to worry about shipping at all (play-asia kept me waiting like a month on my preordered 2dx 9th Style, I was worried it had been lost in transit the whole time) and I like giving my money to an American company.

Yeah its only 2 weeks away. Damn im gonna have to wait an extra week or two before ill have the cash to buy it. Ill be grabbing Dark Souls instead to make use of the 3 months XBLA gold account ive just bought. Damn you MS for making your weekly deals gold account only and pricing structure on MSPs & Gold membership!

3 days if you're in America, maybe. Took around a month for ESPGaluda II to arrive at my place in Australia.

Unlike say Amazon (who will often ship your game over a week after release....cough...Dark Souls..cough...), NCS ships the day they receive. I've used them since the PSX/Saturn era and they're great. Virtually every import release I have came from them, aside from games I wasn't familiar with at the time and had to go back to get. And no, I don't work for them but they've been awesome to me over the years hooking me up with the Resident Evil 5th Anniversary Suitcase Collection, a 2nd Anniversary Pure White Xbox Console limited to 1000 units with my XBL gamertag even engraved on it by MS, and other amazing goodies that companies like Playasia and others couldn't even get at release. I've picked up every one of my 360 import shmups from them. They're super reliable and I can't endorse them enough. In all seriousness they won't let you down. While Playasia was shipping some of their Mushihime Futari's without the DLC codes at launch, everyone who had a pre-order with NCS received the proper 1st pressing with DLC codes. Plus unlike many of the importers being recommended here NCS is actually in the US (NY) so you're not paying for/waiting on international shipping if you're in the US.

I sounded a bit narky in my above post, but in reality my experience with NCSX was damn good as well. Customer service must've facepalmed several times at my emails of inexperience/paranoia but each of their replies was informative, nice and most importantly English-speaking (cause I don't know other languages).

My only worry was the time it took which was due to international shipping crap etc and that in itself left me a little bit sussed after a while but it arrived at just approximately one month. Skykid's copy of Deathsmiles from the UK took longer through the postal service alone (6 weeks+) and both cases of time I mention with time of actually submitting to mail service in mind, so other sites like Play-Asia and that would've had my nerves at edge for even longer. :)

Actually this just made me realise I must be the worst customer to sell stuff to due to me having nerves like Jagger with mail times. :P

It generally gets good reviews from customers. It seems as if the chief complaints are: slow delivery and games being out of stock (which they advertised as being in stock).

Code: Select all

I'll stick with my order from them. Once I receive it, I'll wait a few months and buy a few more at a discount for other people 8)

It should be noted that was ridiculously long, esp as it was sent via RM's best possible service to Australia (International Signed For).

I recently sent something to Oz 1st class standard and it was there within 2 weeks. Go figure.

Yeah, that's random. My point still stands though, I should be more vigilant in expecting such variance to happen instead of jumping on you because of being paranoid. :)

Honestly I suspect Australia's delivery varies not on international level but on interstate level. I'm up in the Northern Territory which is considered "remote" compared to places such as Adelaide or Sydney so I'd expect an import game to hit a place like that real quick. Not sure if such things happen in America but I wouldn't be surprised.

I never had any problems with Gameplay.co.uk, the only reason I never buy from there is that most other places are cheaper nowadays. Any reason you can't use shopto.net?

I was going to buy from shopto and then I got sidetracked and ordered from gameplay.co - paying about 2.5 pounds more in the process :x

Because I'm in America and they won't ship internationally.

They do ship internationally (I use them all the time), but didn't realise they don't ship to America. You might want to try out Play.com or Zavvi as well, since you're outside EU anyway. Don't know about their prices, but Zavvi is usually really cheap.

I figured out I was actually wrong, but their website is so glitchy that it absolutely won't accept any of my credit cards or even register my account properly.

Well whatever, my order is already confirmed for gameplay.co.uk.

I have like a dozen games to shoot through in the meantime, I can wait months if need be.
