Well it's looked so good I actually bought it on the day of release (a few other familiar names from this forum appear on the online leaderboards too).
Havn't had time to get into it yet but there's so much content and some proper depth to the scoring too, Like Geometry Wars Galaxies but more so, there's an enormous amount to explore - 43 levels and another 43 challenges to go with them. There's also good internet support, website, forum and online leaderboards. Wooh!
Like I said before, after Mutant Storm I used to think that everything else was just so much padding but Scoregasm's definitely taken arena shmupping on to the next screen.
I'm also getting quite excited about Waves but there's still no demo so I can't really imagine anything topping Scoregasm at the moment :D

Thanks chaps! I worked really hard on this one, so please give it a try!

If you don't know what it is, Scoregasm is an incredible, variety rich shooter with a non-linear, branching paths style galaxy to explore. It's pretty, accessible, fun and really rather good!

Trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... TEYVxLr0os

Demos are available for Windows, Mac and Linux, and if you decide you like it enough to put your money down, you get a copy of the game for each platform. Check out http://www.scoregasm-game.com

Anyway, if you give it a try, let me know what you think :)

Cheers
Charlie

Great game. I'm enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would. Definitely worth the price. Nice smooth difficulty curve, and some pretty badass enemies.

Scoregasm is part of the second "indieroyale" bundle. Minimum price is ~$3.50 for it, NightSky and two other games I know nothing about.

Works fine with my wired 360 controller. I guess make sure that you have it plugged in and active before you start steam? I've also got the 360 controller driver/overlay thing installed, but I'm not really convinced that it does anything. Failing that, maybe try downloading the non-steam version and see if that does anything.

so i sorta managed to get the game to recognise my wireless 360 controller. Had to delete the BC3D.dtb file in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Scoregasm. Choose No when the game asks if your joystick is a 360 controller. Manually configure the controls from the screens that follow. My ship would not stop moving to the top left, had to change the game port and the axis settings to get it right.
The cursor is extremely sensitive in the menu screens, and the D pad dont seem to do anything.

Played about 30mins, absolutely loving it so far.

Linux! Buuut then again I'd like it on Steam, just because I enjoy having all of my digital games in one place and I rarely use Linux for gaming.. ah man, why doesn't Valve release a native Linux client already..

By the way, I do wish that all of your games found their way on Steam. I know this has been discussed several times in the Steam forums, especially for Bullet Candy Perfect, but I can still hope lol.
