Hehe, I have a digital SLR which is probably why my picture looks nice.

In person though, you know how good RGB looks.

If I couldnt spot the difference between RGB and S-Video, I would gouge my eyes out. ;)

There's a huge TV that I can't even lift at the basement of my dorm room. All the RA's said they bought and no one has even used it so I decided to put it to good use.

Sony PVM20N2U running SEGA Saturn and PlayStation through S-Video.

My Philips 20PT6441 is now designated solely for the 360 (through Component):

There are now three televisions in my living room all connected to video game systems. It sounds like an arcade in my house and I love it.

Finally got a nice arcade stick, so I thought I would show off my setup. I made that wood stand that I use for tate almost 5 years ago.

I have always wanted to try out a CRT monitor for shooters, so I decided to steal one at work today that hasn't been used ever since I started 4 years ago. I am really digging the results so I am going to try and buy it from them.

Here are the results, besides taking up alot of my desk, it is really awesome.

This one is for all you artsy folks out there.

Do you have any intention of modding this? I'd like to see some internal shots if possible.

Assuming that's the PS3 version of the Eightarc Onyx (I just bought one of those myself), then it's identical to the guts of this unit- just in black...

Not my picture. The 360 version lacks one or two of the side buttons I think, and doesn't have the turbo or mode LED and the PCB is obviously different. The buttons that are present and the stick are the same though, as is the majority of the wiring.

Cool, thanks. I've found official word that the Qanba units can be mounted with LS-32s without any issue, so I'm willing to bet the Eightarc's are also of the same accord.

While on the subject of arcade sticks, these new Joytron sticks look mighty fine and are PS3/360 to boot: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?th ... ng.150407/

Definitely easy to mod with whatever Japanese stick parts one could want, but I wonder if it's possible to fit a SUZO stick in there. :?:

I recall reading that was the case somewhere... Think it was over at Shoryuken.

The only difference between the Qanba Q3 and the Onyx is that the guts are slightly rearranged- AFAIK Qanba mounts their PCBs at the top rather then the bottom, and they've got that god-aweful Viewlix style paint job. I believe the mounting panel that everything is bolted/snapped into is identical though.

Plastic case... Weights on bottom. Bleh. Looks cheap.

That unreleased Razor unit kinds looks interesting. At least that unit doesn't have weights in it, the chassis is heavy enough to ground itself without any additional aid.

Yay! something i can talk about/share
Originally the stick was like this...

Image

has these funny-clicky-funky-coloured buttons and the stick has a big... throw (i might have spell this wrong  )
funny enough this was the stick i did 3 loops on 'Flying Shark'... then i got a mate to change the parts into Sanwa (cos i had a spare set) and now i can't seem to beat my own score
downfall is, the casing is quite hollow so it makes the stick quite light, if you make sudden quick movement the stick moves with you... lol... so i'm thinking to put a bag of sand inside...

CHI, what is that the PCB is sitting on-top of? Looks like something metal? Also is, is that a homemade supergun?

lol... you never surprise me with your vision
it's actually a small roll of masking tape to keep the PCB level when plugged-in...
sorry not homemade, it's just very old, i was told these were one of the first supergun around so it's very historic

Image

only downfall is, there's only little space to plug the PCB into the supergun
also there's no RGB controller but all the PCBs i've tried has great colours

Hello folks, this is my Tate CRT setup. Bang & Olufsen MX4000 running with JP PS2 and Mayflash PS2/USB controller.

The base is a cupboard built into the wall, which happens to be at arcade height!

Decent enough manufactured cases...but the kicker is that Suzo 500 included in the second model...YOWZA!

I'm working on a new form factor for the custom sticks I offer...something deep enough for a Suzo....

Anyone interested, check my sig for my trading post thread and my blog. I build and sell custom sticks.....

Speaking of....WHERE ALL THE CUSTOMS AT?

I'm gonna have to bomb this thread with my newest stuff.....
