I keep losing sync with Xbox Live during score attacks...

Post by Annoyboy »

...and it's getting pretty damn infuriating now. It's happening in Futari, Espgaluda II AND Daifukkatsu. I don't seem to be losing my connection to Xbox Live, it's just that randomly in a Score Attack run the game will just display a message about Xbox Live and the "top menu" and just boot me out to the title screen. Is anyone else having this problem? Should I change my router settings?

Image

Edit: The message says "Disconnected from Xbox Live. Returning to top menu."

So, are we expected to turn our TV on its side?!

This happened to me quite often a while back I dont think the problem lies at your xbox but probably just the ISP being a piece of crap as it was in my case with the random tests they liked to do which caused this.

The same has been happening to me as well for about a week now, while doing Espgaluda II Black Label score attack runs. It just kicks me out of the score run, but it keeps me logged in to Xbox Live. Never happened before. Its quite frustrating, but I guess this is a problem with my ISP as well since I´ve been getting some connection issues lately.

Clearing the system cache seems to have fixed this problem.

And how do you clear the system cache?

From the official xbox 360 website:
Select Memory from System Settings box under My Xbox.
Hover over any storage, Press Y and select clear System Cache.

Is there any way of doing this for PS3? This happens quite often for PS3, rarely ever for XBL.

Not that I know of ... it works a bit differently on ps3.

If it happens in a specific app you could try clearing the game cache [game data] whether installed or not. And the browser has its own cache - tools>options. I'd be surprised if the psn authentication was exposed beyond that; I would suggest you still examine firewall/router/isp first ... I think its worth saying just because one connects fine it does not guarantee the other will - as regards psn and xbl.

But if something else with the OS level was interfering with psn I not sure what to recommend beyond flattening the OS...
