Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
Can't wait for the release.
The games are really challenging, have some weird enemies and definitely force you to do counter-intuitive things like the doll suiciding from Hitogata Happa. Hopefully, people will read the f·%$$·% manual before playing and bitching 5 seconds later, right?
Right?

But I like the idea of this on steam. And hopefully we maybe get some more shmups on steam.
My dream is Cave on Steam

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
Not just dream. We pestered both Cave and Valve about it. With enough buzz, they might one day present themselves...
Anyway, can't wait to see the reactions of the kidiots.

Kinda short on cash right now, are the three of them worth buying or there's one that's just better?

Incidentally I just wanted to mention that Valve has apparently set it up so that if you buy one, then get the collection later, it'll give you extra copies accordingly.BeruBeru wrote:Kinda short on cash right now, are the three of them worth buying or there's one that's just better?

Is it translates to "buy hitogata now, the rest later"?

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
All of the games have different strengths. Just want a solid shmup, get Recollection. Want multiplayer, get GundeadliGne. Want character variety, get Happa.BeruBeru wrote:Is it translates to "buy hitogata now, the rest later"?

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
happa looks cool, i've always loved shmups with alot of choices (raiden fighters jet, shikigami 3)
Gotta get it, looks too interesting to pass up. Not sure how i feel about the other two, but maybe I'll warm up to them after happa
EDIT: If i buy one now then the package later, do i get that discount (which is about $2?)

If you buy one now, then the package later, you don't get any sort of extra discount. Instead, you get extra copies of the games you already owned, which you can then gift to a friend or trade.Avatar Ignis wrote:EDIT: If i buy one now then the package later, do i get that discount (which is about $2?)

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
Holy shit these games are friggin amazing. I had no idea... Happa freaking wants me dead, though. Gotta learn all the doll effects. My only wish is that it had a rapidfire button, although maybe it isn't as useful outside of leaf. First shmup I've played in awhile that feels like it advances the genre.
Also is Gundead supposed to be super easy? I beat it on standard on first try -- it kept throwin extra lives at me. I guess advanced is the true "normal" setting?

E-E-E-EXCELLENT.
Amazing prices for these games. There's really no excuse not to grab 'em.

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
I lost on the PS3 ports. Terrible porting job. I'm guessing that wouldn't be an issue on Steam since theyre originally PC anyway.

TBH, I think Happa might be the only one of the three I will like ... it looks slightly more "traditional" than the other two. But I'll have to give the co-op in Gundead a whirl for sure.

lol yeah. I was gonna post that Happa is probably the *least* traditional shooter out of the three. Had to take UD's hint about the manual.shmuppyLove wrote:Ok, I figured it out

Ranked #2 for Normal, second play. Elixir doesn't play shmups, my ass. I'm going to have to re-learn most of the ropes that I've forgotten if I ever wish to take over these leaderboards.
Anyway, great port, the arrange soundtrack is also really good! Hopefully they'll get the leaderboards fixed up soon.

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
I'm having a small problem in gundemonion recollection, when the slow button is the same with the shot button, when I rapidfire the control is somewhat jerky, I'm aware that it's because every single press will trigger slow, but my only option is to bind slow to another button, or use the rapidfire button?

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
Actually, on the Steam forums there seems to be more crying about the lack of screen options than "OMG HAPPA WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN". Maybe people are trying GundeadliGne first for the multiplayer and haven't got to Happa yet.Udderdude wrote:There will definitely be some huttburt going on when the kiddies realize this ain't Touhou.

Re: Gundemonium Collection on Steam
Well, guys, anyone up for a Gundeadligne match? I couldn't find any lobbies and the single one I saw, the player was idle and it had so much lag it wasn't funny. You could barely control the character, that's how bad the lag was, Exception suffered the same problem.
