Steam sale of sega games

Post by TrevHead (TVR) »

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?specials=1

Steam is having a super sale for sega games. This includes all of the old Megadrive games on their which are 50p or a quid for sonic. I know most ppl will just DL the roms but there are folk here who dont pirate which this might intrest them. Im gonna pick up Gunstar Heroes just for the ease of use and having it tied into steam.

BTW theres Alpha Protcol and the Dreamcast collection and Total war series on there as well.

EDIT the also have cheap bundle packs

Thanks for the info! I grabbed Streets of Rage I&II, and Shinobi III. May also pick up the MD Sonics next week.

I beleive he means Gunstar heroes before anyone decided to nearly slip on their drool to end up dissappointed when they check steam :D

They also have The Club discounted, which is actually pretty fun when you start playing it properly for score. The stages are like short Caravan stages. I should make some vids of that.

It was just a bit of a hassle to get working properly (the game fails some automatic update) but there are guides for it in the Steam forums.

Do those Megadrive/Genesis games have any display options? The screenshots seem to have a smoothing filter applied to them. I'm bummed that Shadow Dancer was taken out of all versions of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Nice....grabbed the Genesis Collection 4 (only good one IMO) and Alpha Protocol!

Thanks for the heads up!

Before Sega withdrew their titles from GameTap, I saw Panzer Dragoon II Zwei up on their site. If it wasn't running on a Saturn emulator, I don't know what it was.

I only know about the PC port of the original Panzer Dragoon (the one bundled with Orta as an extra is a port of that version). There's the Sega Ages release for the PS2 too, which I suppose to be ported from the PC port rather than Saturn original as well (just a hunch I have).

Bleh.. Since I've purchased a couple of the Sega Genesis titles in the past, it won't let me purchase the bundle packs (Apparently all four "bundles" have games I have purchased in them). Lame.
