Xbox 360 -to-> Playstation Controller Adapter?

Hey could anyone tell me if this:

would allow me to use my 360 EX-SE on my PS1?

No, it goes the other way. USB is pretty much a dead end in the realm of adapters - you aren't going to find any usb to non usb adapters, and the few ps3 -> xbox 360 or vice versa aren't very good.

edit: hmm, it claims to do xbox 360 controllers on ps2. I doubt this will work well really, usually there are issues with latency or dropped inputs, if it works at all.

yeah after quite a bit of searching this was the only one that clamed to go 360->PS2
and a poor customer review said this:

Xbox 360 controllers do work on the PS3, just not the other way around. I guess this product serves its purpose if you want to convert 360 -> PS3 or PS2 -> 360. But the reason why I even purchased this adapter was to use PS3 controllers on the Xbox 360 not PS2. So this piece of plastic is useless to me.

...so hypothetically if it works on the PS1 it should work on PS1 right?

Oops. yeah, I meant if it works on PS2 then it should work on PS1...

but it's got more bad reviews then good ones. I'd hate to be having a good run and then the controls become unresponsive

You could get a cheap used Hori Fighting Stick PS, they work just fine even though they use generic Hori parts for both the arcade stick and push buttons. Works just fine on a PSX or PSone console + works equally well on a PS2/PS2 Slim console. Having seperate auto-fire capability for all the buttons is another plus.

I'd say slap an MC Cthulhu and IMP (or DPDT switch) in there alongside the stock 360 PCB, and you'll be able to use the stick with basically anything.

This is a pretty serious project, but it's the holy grail - PS1/2/3, PC, Xbox/360, S/NES, Genesis, TG16, Dreamcast, etc etc. all through one connector. Very badass, but definitely for advanced modders only.
