Possibly referring to using bombs to stop opponents, as you get bonuses for your position at the end of each stage. Also curious about this though, I've wondered if there was any better method of scoring than just playing normally...I have a hard time figuring out how to approach that game. On the surface it seems easy but it gives me a lot of trouble.

1CC ListTo miss is human; to rank control, divine.
He was talking about the original Mahou Daisakusen, which is a pure blast-em-up with no unusual elements beyond the lack of a point-blank enemy shot guard (and the huge amount of bombs that get handed out, I suppose).

Oh duh, I quoted the wrong post. Guy before him mentioned Shippu.

Shippou has a special loop. You need to arrive first in the competition, to access it. If one arrives last on a stage, he gets a single point (1) in his score.
It seems that high scores are based on going at the slowest speed at least on 7 stages out of 12. All top scores on the game have a 7 unit value (e.g. 2,000,007). As far as I understand, going at slowest speed allows you to trigger quite more enemies and bonus bombs, especially in the loop. The more time it takes you to clear a stage, the more enemies should spawn. Never really tried to do so, though.
Ruldra: I think that one bomb is ok, but two should be definitely out. It is a quite anal requirement, I believe.
