Radiant Silvergun! Arcade stick button assignments?
Does anybody know the original arcade button assignments for Radiant Silvergun? I know I could just make a configuration that's right for me but I'd really like to know the standard assignments for use with my arcade stick... or even just a fantastic configuration you use.

Yuck. I loved RSG on the Saturn, but I just can't play it on MAME, that control scheme is horrible.

If you've got a 6- or 8-button stick you can easily map a single button to multiple inputs in MAME.

Thanks yosai. That configuration was my only guess but I wanted to be sure.
I've been playing for a few hours with my stick and after the 15 minute mark, everything clicked. Obviously you need a stick for the three-button layout but I can't imagine a six-button layout with a Saturn controller being any more comfortable (for me anyway). I just feel sorry for the folks that only have a 360 controller. And angry at the folks who beat my score with a 360 controller XDStormwatch wrote:Yuck. I remember learning to play Saturn RSG with three buttons, it only took a bit of adjustment (7 possible combinations isn't unbearable to memorize). But then again I always rested the controller on my knee and use fingertips to press buttons; I have no idea how you'd do A+C using thumb-only. These days I have a stick, which makes button combos even easier.

7 different attacks using 3 buttons does seem overwhelming at first, but I have a tendency of always holding down multiple buttons in shoot'em ups (eg. tap+laser to laser in Cave shooters), so the 3 button layout actually ended up making more sense to me...

I use a Logitech F310 for MAME which is analogous to the 360 controller. For RSG, I have ABC set to A, LB and RB respectively. It works well!
