Post by DaBoss »

I've heard discussion of this, but I can't find it on any of the usual download sites. Thanks in advance.

If you wish to play SnS II on PC. Just get yourself an PC version.

You can buy one at the following links:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASI ... 44-4006754

It only asks for US$36.74 :D

Get the demo and try before you buy! I personally don't care for the game.

:? Why don't you just play a few games at the Arcade, before you decide? :?: :?:

I dunno, for me, where I live, anyways, there's pretty much no chance of finding the game in an arcade (or, heck, finding a decent arcade to begin with), so the demo is probably about the only way to try the game...in any case, demo or arcade, either way the person gets a taste of the game, so does it really matter too much which they try?

pardon my ignorance, but.... doesn't MAME only cover games up to 16-bit?

?!?
16-bit what exactly? Memory bus width? Gfx Depth? Z-Buffer depth?

No, you'll find MAME can support a lot of modern games. See PSX-based and Saturn-based systems, or the Model2 and Model 3 support.

Hell, even the Taito F3, Psikyo SH-2 and any other 68020+ system are 32-bit.

Take a random look at:

Interesting. That may be the first time I've heard someone say they don't like it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

DaBoss: Shikigami no Shiro 2's NAOMI based, so emulation's not happening right away. (PERFECT emulation I mean, which is probably what you want) Cheapest alternative for a console: PS2 version. Roughly 10 bucks. Best alternative (in my opinion), but a little more expensive: Dreamcast version.

On a semi-related note, MAME does have preliminary drivers for the Taito G.NET board. So Shiki I emulation might not be too far off. Although, as is the case with all games that run on PSX-based hardware, you'll probably need a pretty powerful system to make it not play like ass.

But again, why bother emulating when there's an actual PC port (for both games) which runs just fine (looks really nice on my vertical LCD monitor) and has all the additional options of the other console ports?

Exactly... Why spend thousands of dollars so that you can play a rom for free! Also SnoSII is still very much a current game and thats got to be piracy in anyones book (even people who are down with roms must think this?)...

Its a fun game though... I have it for the GameCube with a cat.

Buy the damn PC version or get the PS2/DC version. If you can't afford it, unlucky; Videogames aren't free.

And indeed, this is a thread about how to steal/pirate a game that's very new. Naughty naughty.
