All of a sudden I got a lot better at this game (i.e. I can beat the first stage! Woohoo!) Helps that I sort of understand how the bee bonus works too, although I'm still having trouble racking up the big chains.. most of the score probably came from activating the hyper and then collecting a bee bonus before my inevitable death...

...maybe it gets noticed better if I make the new reply. And it's a yet better score, too. Actually, is there any guidelines how to put these scores in? Especially since I seem to be improving in this game all the time, is it considered rude to flood these hi-score boards instead of trying to get considerably better during a longer period of time, and then post the "final result" in the end? ...maybe a discussion in somewhere else than the hi-score board itself would be good ...

It took a long time but i finally got to stage 5 yesterday. *whew*
Actually managed to snag the extra life on the revolver for the first time without dying. Level 4 got the few lives and bombs I had left. Then got creamed in stage 5 but went out hypering with no bombs and barley got to see the first row of medium sized tanks. Easily the most difficult thing i've ever done in any type of videogame.

Pulled this out for the first time in a bit yesterday...man, I'd forgotten how frustrating this bugger could get...

Slightly off-topic, is there a guide anywhere as to specifically how the rank works in the game? I know that using Hypers raises it somehow, but the "immediate" effects of it wear off when you either die or bomb...are there any "permanent" effects of using those things? If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it.

I don't have a link for you, but I can tell you that just about everything you do raises rank. The more you chain, the more hypers you use and the fewer bombs you use all have a major effect. The second level boss is a great benchmark. If you make it to him after chaining both levels one and two and never using a bomb his patterns will change drastically for the worse. Each time you bomb rank goes down a bit, and each time you die it goes down a lot. I'm not sure of any real standard (though I'm sure that information must be out there).BulletMagnet wrote: Slightly off-topic, is there a guide anywhere as to specifically how the rank works in the game? chained stages 1 and 2 ok, the first half of stage 3 + a beginning of something in the 2nd half.
unfortunately i fucked up the beginning of stage 4 combo.
i got a hyper on the 4th boss and miraculously didn't die, so i started 5 with 3 hypers and comboed a bit.

damn you!!!
played a bit today and had the worst runs ever, ill blame it on the medication im taking :s (and on a sidenote, nausea+fatigue just to "cure" a knee tendinis that will heal naturally anyway, i dont know if its worth it..)
i have a question, how the fuck does one achieve to get 4 hypers on stage 2? specifically, how could you release a hyper, not at the second to last bee of stage 1, but on the one before that? then you could hyper the boss and the jauge will be at 200%, like in the superplay? i dont understand, i lazer every big guy, and take a path, whil not the exact same, simmilar to the superplay guy in terms of bee catching, so i should have the same amount of hypers, meh.

No need to ever make a post like this. I check this constantly. If I miss a day, don't stress because I'll get back to it soon enough.Stahlfeder wrote:Please update my Score.![]()
