Console RGB scart cables

Post by NOAH »

I'm looking to buy some console RGB cables but I'm not sure where to buy from. I've seen a few different sellers in minimal research but am curious if anyone here has good feedback from any of the sellers out there. Looking to buy for the following consoles:

Model 1 Genesis (with stereo mini jack)
Sega Saturn

Thanks, guys.

http://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/

You should be able to get most of the generic ones there (non special AV ports).

For things that use special ports such SNES/Playstation/Saturn your best bet is ebay.

If you don't mind paying quite high prices you can email raven games in London. www.ravengames.co.uk

They do pretty much any cable you want (made to order if you want).

N64 doesn't output RGB. Although you can mod one to do so.

I've used both stores before and they are 100% positive.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Thanks for the help thus far, guys. Anyone have anything to say about pcenginesales? Seems like my best bet thus far.

Two questions:
1) Do SNES and N64 use the same SCART cable? I know the output jack is the same, but I've seen a seller list separate cables for each console and I've read about different consoles that use the same output but display differently.

2) Does anyone make a NTSC Saturn SCART cable?

I depends on which SNES you mean. The Super Famicom and North American NTSC SNES will work with the Gamecube SCART cable, and so will a modded N64.

The PAL SNES uses a different cable and will get a dark picture with a GC SCART cable.

I use this one with my NTSC SNES:

Thanks again, antron! Just bought that cable from PA.
