For all of you that still have a PS3 fat, I made a guide on my greek blog (its in Greek Unfortunately), explaining how to remove scratches from the exterior shell of the PS3
https://www.sumo.gr/2011/09/07/project- ... ith-novus/
Although its in Greek, it has lots of pics and you can understand the procedure. The product i used is called "Novus" and it comes as a kit with 3 bottles (shiner, light scratch remover, heavy scratch remover)
First you use Novus 1 (shiner) to clean the surface, then Novus 2 (light scratch remover) and then Novus 1 again to shine it good. For heavy scratches you use the bottles like this : 1-3-2-1
If you click on the pics you can see some big scratches were not removed. I will try to use it again some time in the future and put Novus 3 in the works as well
Hope it helps a lot of people
You can get Novus through ebay

I can't read a word of that, and I have a slim one...but that's really impressive.

Thanks! It took a lot of elbow grease! Its best though to remove the top lid and some screws afterwards to get the top cover off and do it without worrying if the Novus 2 will spill in between those little gaps that are all over the place
Novus can also be used on an LCD on the bezel. Some bezel's have the same surface like those old fat ps3's

Oh, so this can be used on shiny LCD shells too? I hate the way everything is so shiny now. It's hard to take care of it, and keep it good looking. I've had to go ahead and buy a bunch of dust covers.
