I've been playing lots of Dimahoo and Mars Matrix like crazy both are very manic
but very hard in gameplay, trying to beat both of them with one ship...differcult!

What's ya'll take on Dimahoo and Mars Matrix?

I really do need to try both of these, but after hearing about Dimahoo from other members I'm inclined to try out Mars Matrix and blacklist Dimahoo.

Mars Matrix' difficulty is a joke compared to Dimahoo. Dimahoo is absurdly difficult...

I'd say go for Mars Matrix since it's more accessible and probably the better game of the two in general. Nevertheless I think you're comparing apples and oranges.

I just beat Dimahoo:), it was wicked hard but lots of stages...I know Mars Matrix aint easy to beat!

The scoring system just puts me off. It's worse than DDP chaining imo.

I had Dimahoo once for 2 days then quickly sold it again. Not my cup of tea at all.

I'd say Dimahoo, but yeah the scoring system is definitely obnoxious. Really just a mean game overall, playing for survival alone will probably give you trouble starting at the stage 2 boss. Dimahoo's soundtrack blows Mars Matrix's out of the water, no contest.

I absolutely love Dimahoo. So much character, secret ships, bizarre scoring, one of my favs for sure.

Dimahoo is beautifull on all points,graphs music and gamepley.
I completely suck at it(like at most shmups) but I am irresistibly attracted by it.
Fun characters,collectible items and sets,nice bosses.

I think I'd put more time into it if there weren't a stage that shout's "come on!" at you every 3 seconds or so. Come on where?? and do what??

Also the chargeup time for the reflection bomb/mosquito/whatever in both games wants me dead, and usually gets its way.

I 1cced Giga Wing on like my 4th day with the game. It's not that hard. Just annoying because of the lack of extends and your ship moving way too fast.

Dimahoo's very fun.
Mars matrix is a fucking masterpiece.
Dimahoo is A+ in every department in the fun zone (I havnt tried for score).
Mars matrix has BETTER music.

Dimahoo has shit tons more style than Mars Matrix.

Granted I sucked at MM during STGT, and happen to be a bit of a Raizing whore...

You need to approach Dimahoo more like Garegga, and develop a rank strategy first before trying to score. I made it to Stage 6 in one credit and am generally a middle of the road skilled player (according to STGT standings), so you shouldn't have that much trouble clearing it.

Maybe Kaiser will take up the challenge like he did Bakraid Advanced.

It basically goes like this: Mars Matrix - best scoring system. Dimahoo - worst scoring system (all-time). It's a neat bonus if a game has a nice soundtrack, but it really doesn't matter.
