Well... perhaps a replay DVD... since it's being released on a DVD-compliant console. Otherwise, I agree that it's most likely just a port of CF: Expanded.BulletMagnet wrote:I'd imagine that it would have the same extra stuff as the "expanded" GC version? Or maybe something extra beyond that...? Probably not.

As with any other shmup some people will like it more than others; my opinion of the game (the DC version anyways) is pretty close to Rando's in the review he wrote for this site, namely that while it's hardly heaven, it's got some good things going on, and is worth a play. I would recommend you try to get it a little ways below full price, but that's just me.

I'd say there are other more significant titles on the system to warrant such a claim, but the PS2 ain't a bad shmup console any way you slice it.ThirdStrike wrote:I guess this solidifies the PS2/PSX as being the SHMUP console of choice.
Despite all the crap people say about this game, it's certainly getting it's fair share of ports (JP DC, JP GCN, US GCN, and now JP PS2). This leads me to believe that there's a healthy demand for it and that it could actually be decent. I just really want to play it and decide for myself.

music was decent, IMO. and i didn't have a problem with the graphics, it was the shitty gameplay. and sloppy play control.highlandcattle wrote:I like it an awful lot. I know that it's graphics aren't top notch 3D ones but the music and gameplay are awesomeZweihander wrote:for a bargain-bin game? definitely... Chaos Field was the "Shooter: Space Shot" of the Dreamcast. :/professor ganson wrote:Hmmm, the price is a bit steep. $60?
