List of region free shooters for the US XBOX 360?

I apologize for asking what I'm sure has already been asked. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate such a thread using the search feature - so yes, I'm retarded.

At the risk of getting flamed here, I'm hoping that someone would be kind enough to answer the question.

I have a US XBOX 360, and would love to be able to pick up some of the import shmups to play at home.

However, I don't want to buy something if I can't play it (obviously.)

Is there a list of the import shooters that can be played on the US 360, without any mods, etc?

I know there may be issues with a PAL console playing on a North American NTSC teevee, but what about the games?

I want to place my preorder but want to be sure it's going to display properly and all that before I do From what I've heard it seems like it should work, but I have yet to hear an actual "yes" or "no" from anyone.

I remember when this game came out it got a lot of bad reviews because of the price, the supposed complex controls, and... because it was a shoot-'em-up. It's a very faithful translation of the original that nobody bothered to play; even at its peak, there must've been one or two people trying to play it on-line with others. You can get it for less than $10 bucks, used (or maybe new)

It's a fun game but isn't as good as it could have been, definitely worth owning if you have a 360. I heard the sequel was a huge improvement, I haven't personally had a chance to play it though.

The PAL 360 version of DDP-R will work just fine on a USA region NTSC 360 console with an NTSC CRT-based monitor indeed. So, no worries in that department. Plus tate option is still present if you wish to tate with an old-school 4:3 CRT TV monitor or even a 16:10 PC widescreen monitor setup (just gotta select the proper overall screen resolution on the 360 dashboard and resize it properly from within the DDP-R's in-game screen options menu setting and you're good to go).

Protip: Add an external SLG (Scan Line Generator) for them proper scanline effects (if going the 360 VGA cable route with an PC monitor setup) and it's all good in the 'hood.
