Gundemonium Collection on Steam

Post by Teufel_in_Blau »

http://store.steampowered.com/app/901734/

The Gundemonium Collection comes to Steam in September. That's VERY good news. Let's hope that this will finally break some walls and encourage some japanese Devs to put out more shmups on steam.

I'm looking at you, Cave.

Yeah. Check out the new music in the trailers.

The official press release comes next week due to busy-ness on our end, the exact date will be announced then as well.

GC on steam great news (and is much better than gamersgate or directdrive) hopefully those who enjoyed Jamestown will be hungry for other shmups. Although im more intrested in Crescent Pale Mist which ive heard the PS3 version has gameplay tweaks. (The doujin original had some ballancing issues imo).

I hope RA has some plans to localise 1 more doujin STG, like Ether Vapor Remaster, Crimson Clover or RefRain. Still its great to see that you guys have finally managed to win over Valve and get yourself onto Steam.

Ive just checked out the steam page, which mentions all the extras were getting for the game, inc online co-op :D very nice

As much as i like crimzon valve would probably knock it back on graphics alone...

I'd love to. If Gundemonium does well we can look at bringing more of our stuff to Steam.

Everyone should pick this up! I loved it on my PS3. Hope people who didn't have the opportunity to play it on PS3 get it for their PC.

However, as MAC owner I hope if their is a shmup movement on Steam some people make MAC versions.

Eager to check the online co-op. You can be the Jamestown guys are now banging their heads against a wall for not including it. Still, I had my fair share of fun with people and I'm planning to bring buddies for some local 4-player co-op action, as wrong as that sounds.

Still, fellow mexican, chilean, brazilians, canadians, "unitedstatians", in short, all the american people (south and north), we gotta arrange some online matches! Bloody british gentlemanly english and bloody flammin' aussie galahs too. Hell, japanese and the rest of the world are welcomed too! Now that's globalisation, region lock my balls, Microsoft.

Bring in the dosh!

Hey Sara, sorry to derail, but is there any tips you can share for getting games on Steam? Xona Games and MommysBestGames have some worthy titles they were trying to get on there but are being shot down.

In all seriousness, I want to see the reactions of people when they can't get past stage 1... "This shit is bananas!" I hope Sara or someone puts up a sticky thread or something at the Steam forums on the scoring mechanics or bitches'll be bitchin'. Vaunt system this is not. And people just don't learn to read the fucking manual anymore.

Ok, so my Japanese spelling sucks...

anyway, I got the collection for PS3 like a year ago. HitOgAta Happa was the only one I got into. I seriously cracked out on it for a week straight, in a competition with Elixir for the top spot on the leaderboards. It's a super fun game. I don't play it anymore because I pretty much burned myself out. If I were to go back now I would suck and don't want to put the time into it to re-learn it to a competent level.

BUT, if you haven't played it yet don't let that stop you.

edit: NANO NANO NANO

Well, I'm way too stubborn to give up. The game hands me shit I can't deal with and I usually say "Bring it more, amigo!" and keep playing. I beat Hitogata Happa myself but, damn, it was hard. Even in Nobilemente mode.

I had to play a lot until I got a decent doll configuration. Some Simkims for the missile barrages, some melee power, some laser glory and some "Leaf, ikkimasu" for the suicide bombing, fast damage and kakusei-like mode. Then I got that special doll that pwns everything and things became a bit more enjoyable.

I still like Gundemonium Recollection a bit more, heh.

But what I tried to say is that people WILL complain. For the most pointless and retarded things. And this issue will surely show up. You have to tell them to go against the standards and freaking kamikaze your way to victory!

yeah, it's a pretty unique game with the suicide bombing and the character selection. It takes some practice and experimentation. Which is why I don't play anymore since I don't want to spend the time to re-learn all that I've forgotten... :(

I played only on Nobilmente. I made it to the last boss but was never able to beat it...

Will there be demo, Sara? Not that it matters, it's a must-buy for me anyway, but you can get maybe more casual shmupers with a nice demo. I really hope you that this will work out good for you.

Also the soundtrack is gorgeous, but no suprise on that side. Beatmania and DDR are known for their good OST.
