Just when U thought Gamecube was dead Zelda Delayed
Thanks to Nintendo and their retarded delays that tend to screw their fanbase on a monthly basis Zelda has been delayed. It is now scheduled for the 2nd quarter of 2006. I for one have supported nintendo bashed by my real friends and tried to show them the Gamecube light. I for one do not have much faith left for the Gamecube. The benchmark in Next gen Gaming is Resident Evil 4 and now we have to wait until next year to see if Legend Of Zelda will surpass that. Now all I have to look forward to on Gamecube this year is Geist, Mario Baseball and a Shitty port of Chaos Field which I already own on Dreamcast. Wow nintendo you rock!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion, delaying a game to make it better is not a reason to bitch. I'd be pissed if they delayed it to "strategically screw Sony's PS3 release", but that doesn't seem to be the case.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

And a shameless plug for the stuff I'm selling on eBay, if you're into that sort of thing.

The point UFO was making was that the reason for delay is a good one, and one that is about ensuring and choosing to enhance the quality of the game instead of a strategic choice just given in by marketing reasons.
I salute Nintendo for this!

I recall that most Nintendo releases slip for one reason or another, usually on issues of quality.

guys guys guys
1) This isn't the first time a game has been delayed.
2) ThirdStrike, you only need one exclamation point. Any more than one makes you look like an idiot, which your post has done quite efficiently.
3) If they did delay it to "hurt" the PS3 (which isn't happening), it would probably be good from a business perspective. Being pissed at them for, you know, being a business is a bit shortsighted.
4) The Gamecube and the Dreamcast are completely different and functioning in entirely different markets. Contrary to what you may believe, the Gamecube's doing well (not as well as the other two consoles, but enough to break even at least), which is the crucial difference between that and the Dreamcast. The PS2 was very clearly technically superior to the Dreamcast, while other systems are NOT clearly superior to the Gamecube. Their situations are entirely different.
5) "u" != "you"
There were more good games on the Dreamcast though.

Not to start a flame war here, but I think that saying the PS2 was 'very clearly technically superior to the Dreamcast' is stretching it a fair bit. Most of the first-gen PS2 releases looked a good bit worse than what the DC was doing at the time.
Anyway, on topic, I'm always glad to see a company push back a release date of a highly anticpated game for quality reasons. A good publisher will do that; a bad one will force the game out the door unfinished. The first action makes you wait a bit longer for the game, while the second is reflected in the game forever.
