I guess if your good with a keyboard you'll be right at home with this stick...err I mean controller. I like the idea but the cost is high for a controller I'm not sure I'll like. If there was a HRAP template to try, then yeah I'd go for that.Vokatse wrote:http://www.hitboxarcade.com/
Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking for any thoughts on the mental process of actually getting used to playing on one of these, especially if already accustomed to a traditional arcade stick.
Also, I know that these are mainly meant for fighting game players, but there is a good amount of those kind of people around here.

Re: Hit Box Arcade
wierd ... seen people doing this before [and joypad variants]. If you can get your head around it I can see how it could be more satisfying to tap and smack these buttons than a keyboard... in some ways I'd say this may work better for shmups than fighting... you will want to consider layout I think... and probably make yourself.
Not for me though I don't think, but if I were a keyboard player I'd go for something like this [I'd probably do movement in keypad /WASD layout].

Re: Hit Box Arcade
Its just a big joypad... or small dance pad
Its just the hand lying directionals that will be the trick. And yeah I'd definitely protoype yourself before building or buying final.

Pointless if you aren't using it for fighting games.

Re: Hit Box Arcade
I made one with a friend and we use it to play Street Fighter. I find it much easier to pull off complicated combos, but it is a bit weird because I learned on a stick. However, my friend never played a fighting game before and he got good execution very fast because of it.

If you don't mind laying out the buttons yourself you could have a replacement plexi panel panel made.rolins wrote:I like the idea but the cost is high for a controller I'm not sure I'll like. If there was a HRAP template to try, then yeah I'd go for that.
You select the custom panel option when ordering and use this to design the panel.

Hey,
this custom work depends on the features you want to have. First I`m discussing the features and make then a individual offer plus a time schedule. I`ve been selling custom inbetween 150 (just case with simple wiring) and 350€ (works on all consoles, Led buttons mod, led stick, mirror lacquer finish, custom artwork, laser work, ... ) as said depends
